Carolina vs New York of the Island Type
Discussion goes here, in case anyone cares.
It’s going to be so weird with the Islanders back in Brooklyn the rest of the way. They spent a ton of this season at Nassau, just call it Renter’s Remorse and go back home until Belmont’s done.
What was the decision making process behind this?
Are they serious with this camera angle?
What’s up with this camera angle? Feels like I’m watching from the rafters.
This is unwatchable. Do they do this for every game in this building?
2 minutes later, I think I like it. Much more of the ice is visible, but they need to stay zoomed out. It is the zoom in/zoom out that is bad.
May there be seven OT games, hopefully most of them multiple OT.
Mrazek hurt. Backup in.
Canes go up 2-0 on the Isles, going home.
Mrazek listed as "day to day" and "good news". He skated off without appearances of severe injury/discomfort/etc. His backup seemed competent enough, and was certainly tested plenty. I thought he was a bit less standard on his angles and positioning, but it could just be a style difference and being used to what Mraz was doing.
Looking like if the Bruins do get through this series they will face another well rested squad.
The Islanders appear to be in trouble.
Game, set..... pretty close to match.
Islanders being read last rites. Another team that will get a week off before playing the Bruins (hopefully).
If they wanted to, could the Hurricanes wear the Whalers jerseys for a game in the playoffs?
I’m sure they could if they wanted to. As a former CT resident and Whaler fan it would absolutely kill me though. Imagine them winning the cup wearing the whale... fml
Isles look demoralized
Not anymore. By NHL rules, you set your home and away jerseys at the beginning of the playoffs. So if, like Carolina, you set an alternate as your home jersey, you’re wearing that for every home game you play, no deviation.
What a run by the Hurricanes. Was pulling for them as my cousin moved down there and we're hoping for a dream ECF matchup so we can hit the games in both places. Also my neighbor works for them so I'm happy for him. But hopefully all this ends right here
So if the Bruins can get by Columbus, they will once again have a rested team coming off a sweep waiting for them. Great...
Beats the alternative!
