No problem. Not trying to nitpick or anything...I just happened to be looking for the PC game!
I'm glad it's 1.) Friday 2.) After the kid is in bed and 3.) Likely after the wife is in bed

So, today has to go smoother for the higher seeds right?

My alma mater vs my dad's alma mater. No good can come from this.

Today's slate looks a little lighter on NBA prospects. I know that isn't why a lot of people watch or like the tourney but I can't shut my Celtics fandom off. Oubre for KU and Okafor/Winslow for Duke are the projected lotto guys. Kaminsky and Harrell mid-first rounders, and Dunn could sneak up there as well.

I love Raftery.  I'm glad he's getting to call the final four this year, although I really don't think these three person teams are necessary in all circumstances.  Not a comment on Grant Hill, but I think Nantz and Raftery don't need really need a third.

I'm trying to figure out how to explain to my MIL that the last time I watched a Gonzaga game with her they lost and I can't take that risk again
Anyone have any ideas how I do it tactfully?

Red Sox world series 2013.  Everything was going great at one point until Mrs. DDB came into the room and then it started to get weird, so I asked her to leave.  Can't remember exactly the circumstance -- I think maybe it was the at bat where Tazawa got Holiday to ground out on a hard grounder to end a threat, which happened as soon as she left.  Anyway, the next time she came into the room, I asked her to leave, and I think she had been harboring resentment and holy shit did she let me have it.  Never again.  Not.  Worth.  It.  Red Sox won anyway, in case anyone forgot.

Got plenty of those. I live in the rural West where they just issue them to us when we move into a small town

Don't MiLs love projects?  Love feeling useful?  If you can think of anything remotely sane that she could do to help out around the house or whatever during the game that might save you.

She wants to watch the game since she likes the team since both my wife and I are alumni and were students during the original elite eight run.

She's watching the game no matter what

Georgia just got called for goaltending on the rule that got changed a few years ago -- the ball was still going up, but had hit the backboard.  I liked the old rule better.

This. He's the perfect combo of insight vs. character. He's the best CBB color guy right now and it's not close.

I guess that sucks then.  If Utah makes it to next weekend, when my in-laws are in town, and they want to watch it with me, I can just go to a bar.  Since they're Mormon.

So ridiculous that UVA (should they beat Belmont as expected) has to play MSU again after last season.  Shitty seeding by the committee there.

Had the opposite during this year's superbowl. Wife came down right as the pats started the comeback. stayed there for a while but got up to head back upstairs for something. I did the Sonny from A Bronx Tale... "Now you's can't leave"

Eh I think it's great as a fan. Would they have liked playing Wichita St or Ohio State instead?

I'm a Virginia fan.  I'm not rational about these things.  I see Duke's draw, and then I see UVA again facing an underseeded MSU team early in the tournament led by a hall of fame coach who always gets his team to ourperform their seed.  Yes, I would rather play Wichita St.

Fair enough but flip side is Duke could see a Utah team that by some metrics is a top 10-12 team. But I hear ya. I'm sure Kansas fans don't like seeing Wichita State and Arizona likely isn't looking forward to Ohio St.

Edit: do you really think MSU is underseeded? I don't think they are a top 25 team personally

I think I'm just factoring in the externalities of Izzo's multiple and at times improbable deep runs into the tourney.  I hope you're right though, UVA has yet to lose to any teams outside the top 25 this year.  Not a trend I'd like to break any time soon.

Someone got to Grant Hill at half time and told him the announcing gig only works if he speaks.  He's actually pretty good.

A couple pre-tourney trendy upset picks struggling early: Wyoming down 14 to UNI at the half, and Buffalo down 14-5 to WV.

Did Fennis Dembo get hurt.  He'll lead them back in the second half.

He still plays there, right?

The pressure is really getting to the kids this year. MSU attempting another double digit lead collapse in the final 90 seconds or so.

MSU is 38% from the line today. Yikes.

Missed FTs and fouling the shooters. Brutal.
