BC wins>SBCC wins

I will laugh and then cry if Kelly and Strong both get fired before Addazio

I would like to invite the University of Notre Dame, its football team, and its fans to suck it.

Wisconsin controls its own destiny now, right?

If they finish as B1G champion with two losses to tOSU and Michigan, one of which would have been avenged in the CCG, who is ranked ahead of them? Certainly Bama, unless they lose both of their remaining games. Certainly Clemson if they win out, and probably Washington too. But I don't see a fourth.

The most probable Big 10 Championship Game is Wisconsin vs. Penn State.

I do not see Ohio State dropping from 2 to 5 if they beat Michigan, but fail to advance to the Big 10 Championship Game. Ohio State would have wins over three Top 10 teams.

Looks like the 4th spot will be between the Pac 12 Champion and a possible 2 loss Big 10 Champion. Oklahoma has a very outside chance if chaos happens (Wazzu beats Washington and a 3 loss team wins the Big 10 and/or Clemson loses the ACC Championship Game).

My bad, I thought PSU had two conference losses.

Unlike you, I think Washington is close to a lock if they win out -- the committee expressly gives great weight to conference championships. So if tOSU beats Michigan, you're looking at a Final Four of Alabama, Clemson, Washington, and either tOSU or the B1G champ, with the potential for two B1G teams only if Clemson or Washington stumbles (or if Bama completely falls apart). Oklahoma could crash the party in a chaos situation, but they also have a more straightforward path to #4 if Michigan wins the B1G and either Clemson or Washington loses; in that scenario, I think OU's conference championship outweighs the H2H loss to tOSU.

Edit: UW was obviously ambiguous; edited to clarify that I meant Washington.

I can't see a two-loss Wisconsin getting in over a one-loss OSU that beat them H2H in Madison, even if Wisconsin has the conference title.

If OSU beats Michigan and then Wisconsin beats Penn State, Wisconsin is probably #5 and would need some help. That help is most likely to come from Washington, who have a tough road left with @WSU in the Apple Cup and then either Colorado or USC in the Conference Championship Game.

I was at the WVU game last night, the snow was fun for about ten minutes and then the game started. Just an awful performance by WVU, failed in every aspect of the game. OU got in their heads during warmups and that was that. WVU played dreadfully and HCDH did nothing to calm the team down when they were loosing their cool. WVU has not beaten anybody this year and in reality are three plays away from being 5-5 instead of 8-2.

I'm shocked that Dana's name has come up in connection with the Oregon job and in a much less capacity LSU. He is a decent coach but not nearly the caliber those schools would want. He is 16-7 over the past two years, but 0-6 against the top 25. Since he started in Morgantown he is 6-15 vs the top 25. Most of those wins came with the previous regime's players.

He means Colorado

If they finish with 3 quality wins over Wash St, Utah and Washington, they have a chance. No bad losses. But it's hard to see how they leapfrog Michigan with a H2H loss.

Their best case is as a #4 after Bama, Michigan, and OSU, if Clemson and Land Grabbers stumble. No way you can pick 3 B1G teams so they'd be pushed over PSU and Wiscy

AP poll:

11. Louisville
18. Houston

Houston curbstomped Louisville. Same records. I guess getting blown out by SMU negates head to head wins.

More or less. Louisville's other loss was a close road loss to Clemson. I don't see much to separate Oklahoma and Louisville, each has one top 25 win, a convincing loss to Houston and a loss to a top 4 team. Yet Oklahoma is 7 and Louisville is 11. Heck, Louisville was much better in their road loss to Clemson than Oklahoma was at home against Ohio St. That said, I don't really see much difference from teams #6-12 though.

Houston has one of the weirder seasons, two top 11 wins, but two unranked losses in conference so they are fourth in the AAC and can't get a conference title. Houston is shut out of the NY6, and so is 10-1 Boise St if Wyoming wins next week.

One lost early, one lost this weekend. That's probably about it. It will be interesting to see how the committee treats them both.
