Without doing the research, I'm sure Bradley has a positive value compared to what is expected from a pick in that spot.
Using a really rough calculation (here), his value pretty decisively exceeds his pick.

But to say that KO hasn't helped the team, that means you don't know anything about basketball. Yes, he isn't Giannis but he's certainly an asset to the Cs, particularly in this day and age.
And using the above calculation, KO has also exceeded his draft slot. And IIRC, Giannis was a huge question mark. High risk/high reward.

Is it possible that they selected Yabusele for Milwaukee as part of a yet-to-be-announced Middleton/Monroe trade? Their GM has been enamored of Euros in the past.

Great. But we had hours of "WTF Ainge??"
I can't speak for anyone else, but my complaint from Ainge is taking Brown at 3. Should have taken Dunn for possible trade value.

I think Brown could be good, but it would have been better if he would have traded down. I am sure he tried to and couldn't, but that was my complaint.

Is the culture in French leagues wrt defense comparable?
My understanding is that Euroleague defensive rotations are pretty sophisticated. I don't know about "culture", but the demands placed on European players defensively are no less (and probably greater) than NCAA players. It's obviously still projection from there to the NBA, but that's true of all prospects, whether from France or from Duke.

More importantly however is that I am not a believer in the narrative that defense is mostly a question of effort. Maybe that was the case in the 80s, and it's certainly the case in local pickup games at the Y, but with the amount of switching that goes on in the NBA today, I don't think it's accurate at the NBA level. There are just skills involved that I'm not sure we can hand waive away. My read of the reports on Yabusle is that he's just pretty clueless on that end.

Definitely possible but it's already been reported that Yabusele is going to be a stash...

Big men are falling like the gentle rain from heaven, and plenty of them will be falling to the second round too.

Maybe, I doubt it though. I think it was just that they like him, he's been rising and is one of the few Euros this year who seem fine with being stashed (most have said they want to come over right away).

Well, here's to hoping you're wrong about him. Thanks for the info.

Honestly, if I have a criticism of Ainge tonight, it's not competing and moving up to get Chriss.
I had the same thought, but I think 13+28 trumps 16+23. Though I think Ainge could have found a way to bridge that gap if he had to.

Interesting point coming up on Korkmaz, he was going to pay his own $1.5M buyout to come over this year. Falling this far might mean he stays another year in Europe.

Yeah the point about the best player willing to be stashed seems right to me.

Lot of interesting guys on the board: the Zs, Korkmaz, Skal (didn't like him early but at 23?), Luwawu.

He wanted Brown more than he wanted anyone else.

You're upset he took the player he liked instead of trying to trade down 1-4 slots and crossing his fingers that Brown was still there?

Dumb.

I'd bet on Deyonta Davis being a better player than Jaylen Brown, so I'd be pretty happy with that pick.

It was pretty widely accepted that Phoenix, Minny, NO, and Denver weren't taking Brown

I actually think the Celts were sunk when the lottery shook out giving them the 3rd pick in a two player draft (alleged). I like Brown, but I am not sold if he will ever be an all-star, which is what a team would hope when they draft at number 3.

I am hoping to be proven wrong. He has the upside, but the downside risk is pretty significant.

So is ZIzic not a draft and stash? Twitter is saying that he refuses to stay in Europe

From Dean On Draft:

34. Ante Zizic (DX: 22, ESPN: 23)
Zizic is a 19 year old with decent center tools and tantalizing scoring, rebounding, and shot blocking stats in the Adriatic league. The downside is that his steal and assist:TOV rates suggest seriously flawed instincts. He appears to be a pure garbage man which limits his upside, but he is so good at his role it is easy to envision him finding a niche in the NBA.
and here's Yabusele's writeup:

44. Guerschon Yabusele (DX: 32, ESPN: 30)
Yabusele has a good PF body, athleticism, and shooting. But he lacks the quickness to guard the perimeter and is neither a rim protector or generally regarded as good on defense, and there is too much disaster potential on this end to consider him in round 1. But if he can clean up his act and become respectable on this end he is an interesting flier.
