Portland
I was just watching the replay of the ‘88 dunk contest and the announcer said that Jordan claimed a 360 dunk from the free throw line is the perfect dunk. Will anyone ever be able to make this dunk?

EDit: google says Zach LaVine attempted it, which I am about to watch. It’s been some time since I watch a dunk contest.

Brent Barry deadpanning “my dad would never pass” was hilarious
It was also an asinine statement as Barry Sr. was a Top-10 assist guy 6 times in his career from the SF position, leading all SF in Assists each of those years. Barry Sr. was a tremendous passer.

I laughed; a guy can rack up assists and still be a gunner, look at Russel Westbrook. That being said Rick Barry is probably only rivaled by Bird and LeBron as a playmaker from the forward position.

Yes it helps if you watch it in context. He was talking about Larry Nance tossing it up for his son in the dunk contest but thanks for the history lessons

Probably too reliant on Ray Allen (and the kerosine that is his relationship with Rondo) , but love the thought of Al and KG switching on everything on the parameter. Maybe enough space for rondo to get to the rim - remember he used to do that?

Al (2)
KG (5)
Lewis (2)
Ray Allen (4)
Rondo (2)

I think if it's today's game I'd take McHale, since I believe he'd have been a really good three-point shooter if he'd tried. And obviously he's a great inside guy great defender. He'd be great in this era.

So only if it's today's game I'd
take McHale, Bird, Ainge,
Maxwell and Irving.

It's too bad Stevens wasn't the C's coach in the 1980's.

Anyway, I'm pretty confident that squad would make it to the finals and lose to Russell's team.

Durant-Barry-King-Floyd-Bol would be fun

But if King qualifies for the Warriors I suppose I could take a Celtics team of Maravich, McAdoo, Wilkins, Payton and Shaq.

All sports should just really abandon their all star games. Name the all stars but don’t actually play the game

It’s a shame there are no celebrities in LA and they have to keep bringing Kevin Hart on to take over all star weekend.

Please NBA keep him far far away in the future. He’s been doing his best to ruin what is a fun positive weekend every year for the past 5 or so years.

They need to move the Raptors to Seattle or something so we can save time not having the Canadian anthem performed during this

No one bigger than Fergie? In all of LA? Seriously?

So what percentage of the motivation for this new “pick their own teams” format was to give them a vehicle to talk about what a leader LeBron is?

Above or below 50%?

I've been preaching this for 15 years!! Same dimensions in 1950 as 2018......how does this make any sense?
It does. They won’t lose the court side seats on the arenas that can’t be altered properly.

Dolla’ dolla’ bills.

Hey, defense.

And K-Low picked up something from Charlie Chaplin's wardrobe at an LA Goodwill

Do people actually find this “entertainment” entertaining?
I don’t get commercials or halftime but just the NBA logo in my internet.

The breaks are so long, it’s sorta jarring when the game comes back on.
