They can play him there for a year until Correa is ready, then shift him to 3B if neither Moran or Riuz are ready, or turn him into a super sub, or trade him. It does seem a little longterm with Correa coming up and Altuve locked in at 2B, but they can make it work.

That 3 team trade between the Nats, Rays, and Padres is done. 

 
Law said on his blog that the Nats came away the big winners in this deal and it really looks like they did. Ross and Turner are the #5 and #8 prospects in a strong farm system and they are each former first round picks. Turner's speed as an 80 rating and as a shortstop is a clear replacement for Desmond.
 
Pretty great haul for an extra outfielder they didn't have room for.
