MaMo might fight the entire Philly team
That should be a flagrant on Simmons and Morris should get tossed for going after him.
I'm not even sure that should be a foul on Simmons
Now I'm picturing Kelly Oubre trying to Olynyk MaMo and I'm cackling
Send in the bobbies
Showing the London crowd a little NBA thuggery.
Good on the NBA to bring rugby to London.
That was a foul, but Morris just needs to get up and drop it.
They made up. All is good
Simmons extended the arm bar and shoved Morris but it wasn't that bad.
Saric has a bit of a dirty streak
Nice block on Embiid by Theis
Just to show the stupidity of the +/- stat, Tatum totally turned the game in the 3rd qtr and he’s -7.
Nader in -- look out!
I'd guess 40 points, Utah against Denver, 11/27/96?
MaMo Mau Mau
Gotta be Kermit Washington.
Boy, the deep bench looks like junk. If Danny does pick up another body before the trade deadline, he could easily cut Nader.
That was fun Thanks London!
I'm all about kicking the shit out of Philly
Jaylen +34 and Horford +32. That seems astoundingly high for a non-blowout.
So who do we root against tonight: toronto or cleveland?
Aren't most 13-15 on NBA rosters junk?
They have an open roster spot anyway.
The biggest margin of victory in a game is something like 65 points, so that would be a bigger swing right there...
Now the C's can relax 'til Tuesday
Always root against the Yankees.
So they’ll come out cold just like today and we’ll be down. Oh well, so the C’s (and the Sixers) did their duty for the league for now.
They're pretty much the worst offensive and best defensive bench in the nba, they look bad because none of them can shoot consistently, but overall they're about nba average
Edit: Unless you mean literally the bottom of the roster, in which case I'm not sure what you expected. I'd argue Larkin and Semi have been way better than expected, maybe Yabu has been a disappointment but he's still a 22 year old rookie who doesn't really have a role right now, and I don't think anyone expected Nader do anything.
It's not stupid, it's a number. Taking any single game stat to mean something significant is stupid.
This is Brad Stevens' 200th victory as Celtics head coach, the seventh to do so. The list.
Don't know what I want but I know how to get it-- I want to destroy passers by (philly)
I was. Catching up on the gamethread now...
... appreciate the homage, Big Al!
Finally got to see the game. 3 observations.
(1) In the first half, when Embiid overwhelmed TheIs, Brad pulled TheIs and pit in Baynes without hesitation. However, in the 2nd half, with a working margin, Brad let TheIs play Embiid undoubtedly to let him get used to Embiid's moves. Another example of why Brad is a top-tier coach and I can't wait until it pays dividends down the line.
(2) The Cs have lme 7 guys who can aberage more than 10 ppg. That's pretty impressive and makes it hard to game plan for.
(3) Dino Saric has the worst haircut in modern NBA history. Doeßn't he make like 7 figures or something?
I didn't get it right though. It's TERRY ROZmotherfuckingIER! Next time I'll get it right the first time. The way you insert the descriptive into his last name: that's what makes it.
Possible megathread alert!
Is this thing on???
Punish the Pelicans?
Megathread confirmed. The thread starter is unavailable, but there's a lot of mojo in a winning streak that includes a London stopover.
Plaster the Pelicans!
Pulverize the Pelicans, in honor of our great megathread!
There were rumblings that AD met with a realtor in Back Bay. Just sayin...
Scal and Abby had no idea why Celtics vs 76ers received no press in the UK?
two teams celebrating Irish heritage and American independence... no interest in England, go figure
I am way too young to have ever seen him play but RIP JoJo White.
Poo Poo on the Pelicans
Punch the Pelicans!
The Cs look a bit jet lagged
