Is it a clean hit? Seems like he leaves his skates and extends his arm through the head to me.

It looked right on the line to me. He may not have fully launched, but he went up through his head and his back foot appeared to be coming up off the ground before/during contact. Some of it is clearly on Toews for having his head down, but it's your standard "tough-guy" Orpik hit. I'd say it's at least reckless, and that the league should look at it given his past, but I doubt he'll get suspended.

Yeah, typical Orpik on the edge kind of hit. Tough to say if he's leading with his elbow as he's moving up on Toews, but he's clearly leaving his feet.

Backstrom actually did lift the puck... just not high enough. Hutton lifted his pad off the ice a bit -- had Backstrom just slid it across the ice, it would have gone in. Just saw that Orpik hit on Toews. It's a big hit, but it looks clean to me. He didn't leave his feet until contact was initiated, which is natural.

Yeah, Schneider faced some tough shots in the first 5-6 minutes he had in there. He got up to speed quickly. They have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way. They just have to win most of them.mikeford said:

I've actually been to 2 games where a team came back from 0-4 down. What a contrast...you come back from 0-4 against Montreal at home and the building is going nuts like they just won the Stanley Cup. You blow a 4-0 lead at home and lose and it's like a funeral.
As a someone who is a Quinnipiac alum myself tonight marks the first game ever in the NHL for a Quinnipiac player as a Bryce Van Brabant debuts for the Flame.
