Traditional Big East rivals Creighton and Georgetown are playing in D.C.  Georgetown is up 42-28 at the half.

Hoyas still dominating, up 13 with under 10:00 to play. Blue Jays picking a shitty time to turn back into a pumpkin.

Several bubble teams have been responding the last couple of nights, either gaining key wins or threatening to do so. Last night it was OK St (over KSU) and NC St (over Pitt). Tonight it's Georgetown along with Baylor (leading Iowa St by 1 with 6:25 left). We'll have to see whether Oregon (vs ASU) and Providence (vs longshot bubble team Marquette) can follow suit later this evening. Both of those latter games are on FoxSports1, at 9 & 11 pm respectively.

I've always felt a good measure of a coach's greatness is whether he can right the ship at halftime, especially on the road. Obviously Billy Donovan fits that bill, and tonight is no exception. The Gators struggled against the upset-happy Gamecocks in the opening half at Columbia, leading just 28-26. They've since exploded to add 20 to that lead so far in the 2nd half with 7:36 to play.

I really think that Providence and Marquette are in very similar situations.  Whoever wins tonight's game might temporarily get off the bubble.

They're clicking on all cylinders at the right time. If they're able to get McGary back healthy, they'll be scary deep.

First outright title in 28 years. Hard to believe it's been that long.

Cuse mounting a desperate late comeback vs GT, now down 4 with 1:48 left after trailing by 14 earlier. ESPN showing a live look-in right now.

RPI likes PC better right now (56 vs 70), which unfortunately for Marquette would be a significant gap in the committee's eyes.

You know when your toilet's clogged and you're not sure if you've fully cleared it? So you take off the top of the tank, and then try to flush it only partially by keeping your hand on the floater ready to yank it back up and avert a flood? And you gently depress the flush lever and hear the water start to leak in slowly at first, then a little quicker, and the water isn't draining at all as the bowl level starts to rise? They you realize you're about a millimeter away from a full-on flush and a plumbing disaster as shit from the clog starts to mix in with the bowl water?

That's the feeling Syracuse fans must have right now.

It ends up a 44-20 2nd half for Florida and a 72-46 win.

Donovan is like Delbert Grady in The Shining.

He... corrected them.

I think the closer call is PC and St. John's. But yeah, probably none of them.

You're right on the former (SJU is at 60 right now), and could easily be right on the latter. PC (7), Marquette (12) & SJU (8) have played a combined 27 teams in the RPI Top 50. Yet between them they've only won 5 of those games (2, 2 and 1 respectively). That's pretty damning.

Marquette is hanging in there against Providence, closing the gap to 2, 53-51 Providence, with 3 minutes left.

The Friars have blown an 11-point 2nd half lead. Tie game.

And now PC goes back up by a bucket, but there's an offensive foul and turnover on the charge. Under 2:00 left.

EDIT - Huge three by Mayo. Warriors lead. And the Friars come up empty on the other end with a couple of rim-clangers. Heimlich posters being plastered on the walls of the Dunk.

Yup. Ugly shooting, with both teams under 40%.

But that three by Fortune was enormous, and he gets the 4-point play.

HOLY SHIT! If that counts, it's one of the greatest buzzer beaters I've ever seen. A 3-quarter-court chest heave swish by Marquette after an offensive rebound.

EDIT - Nope, too late. Still amazing. On we go to OT.

Fortune with another big shot for PC, rolling off a screen and getting the lucky dice roll as it bounces high off the rim and drops straight through the net. Friars up 3 with 1:22 left in OT.

Cotton left all alone at the top of the key, and it's an easy straight-on jumper.

And now Mayo drains another three. Wow, ice water veins. 24 points now.

Desrosiers hits one of two to tie it, and we're on to double OT as Mayo misses the would-be winning three at the buzzer.

I can't believe how short Providence's bench is.  1 point in bench scoring, and that was the final point in OT

Yeah, everyone but Desrosiers is like a seat-filler at the Oscars.

Great trapping by Marquette, protecting a 3-pt lead. 17.7 secs left.

PC looks lost without Batts & Fortune.

EDIT - Henton with the bucket, Friars down 1 with 9.3 left.

Outstanding play by Cotton, getting the jump ball with Thomas -- and PC has the possession arrow. Wow. 8 secs left.

And now Cotton gets fouled on the inbounds pass. No question about it as he was pretty much tackled. Two shots coming.

Hey, look at this. Another horridly ugly collegiate athletic surface. Because having red and blue football fields isn't nearly ridiculous enough, Oregon has to have blotches of Klondike Brown diarrhea on its floor in the shapes of pine trees.

Bob Ross would be proud.

How amazing is Larry Brown? Never stays anywhere for long, yet no matter where he goes, whether it's college or pros, all the guy does is win.

His SMU Mustangs are running Louisville right off the court thus far, up 18-5 with 11:00 left in the 1st half. It's part of a great triple-header on CBSSN involving 4 ranked teams, with Dayton @ St. Louis tipping off at 9 pm, and San Diego St @ UNLV getting started at 11 pm.

EDIT - WOW. Ryan Manuel with an incredibly sick block trailing a Louisville breakaway. He just DESTROYED that shot, and SMU scores the other way.

Louisville answers with a 12-0 run led by a pair of deep threes by Luke Hancock. SMU still up but only 26-24, with 4:00 until the break.

EDIT - Chris Jones makes it 15-0 with his 3rd trey of the night. SMU finally breaks the drought with a pair of FTs.

EDIT - It's a 2-pt Cardinal lead at the break as an SMU tip-in doesn't beat the buzzer.

Uh oh. Nick Moore just picked up his 4th foul for SMU, playing some idiotically and unnecessarily aggressive defense with just 4 minutes gone in the 2nd half. Louisville up 40-37.

Some good match-ups tonight:

* #20 Memphis at #15 Cincinnati on ESPN. Bearcats are up 38-32 at the half, as Michael Dixon Jr. nails a 3 just before the buzzer to bring the Tigers back to within a half-dozen.

* #6 Villanova at Xavier on FS1. Wildcats up 41-36 at the half.

* #24 Iowa at #22 Michigan St on ESPN (9 pm)

* VCU at RIchmond, CBSSN (9 pm)

* UCLA at Washington, ESPN2 (9 pm)
