Dombrowski should have promoted him to Vice President of Bench Operations.

Dang, who in the dugout are people going to credit for all the strategical decisions that work next season?

Seriously, good for him. Deserves a shot and wasn't likely to get one in Boston right away. Guys like him need to grab these opportunities when they come.

Personally, I look forward to trading for him in 2018 after we run Farrell out of town for having mysterious "chemotherapy" pills in his locker. Would Noe Ramirez be satisfactory compensation?

Nice for him, I do wonder what we would have done with him at the helm...his 2015 second half was wonderful. Of course, it's hard to complain about winning the division and making the playoffs so who knows?

A friend of mine who was bat boy/clubhouse boy for the Toledo Mud Hens when Lovullo was playing there says Lovullo is the nicest, most decent ballplayer he ever met. Lovullo taught him card tricks, too.

Congrats to Torey. He will miss his newly purchased home on the water in Nahant! Hoping he addressed those uniforms immediately!
