After miss all of 2014, Profar is undergoing shoulder surgery and is expected to miss most, in not all, of the 2015 season.
Profar is actually eligible for arbitration next offseason, and Evan Grant (of Dallas Morning News) suggested that the Rangers may non-tender Profar, moving forward with Andrus and Odor.
It's crazy to see this happen to someone who was so highly ranked just a couple seasons ago, especially since he literally just turned 22, but I'm not sure the Rangers would be entirely wrong in making that decision.
