Since as I recall we had separate news and free agency threads last year, I thought why not combine it, since much of the July news will be FA related in some way anyway.
 
NHL Network has a Signing Season show at 10AM leading up to their Free Agent Frenzy show starting at 1. Pretty meh UFA class, but I'm hoping that leads to some trade action or RFA offer sheets (admit it, you guys miss Homer as much as I do).

Though that does raise the question that if Richards is indeed a free agent at the end of this process, would he have a case to sue the Kings for damages by way of income forgone by not being a UFA on July 1?

If Chicago retains half the contract then I'm all in on Bickell.  He would be great on the third line.  I just don't want him eating $4mil of the cap.
