She seemed to take a lot of time off for a sideline reporter and she complained about how many games there are.  I doubt she's too broken up over it.

I figured as much since she wasn't at Northeastern for "Red Sox on Campus" last week. Jamie Erdahl & Leah Hextall handled audience questions for the panelists, while that same night Jenny was co-hosting NESN Sports Today back in the studio.

Here's a thought- don't have a sideline reporter.  The next time I learn something interesting from one will be the first.

Jamie Erdahl's got a three week break coming up, coinciding conveniently with the start of spring training.  I bet she wouldn't argue with a gig in the warm sunshine after spending the last four months in cold rinks.

Free Jamie Erdahl.

Now who's going to tell me that Helen Flanagan from Attleboro is celebrating her 92nd birthday and has been coming to Fenway her whole life?

Probably browndog

Google image search for "Helen Flanagan". She doesn't look any 92 years old.

For God's sake THIS.  They have brought absolutely nothing to the broadcasts.  A little eye candy and some conversation amongst us during a slow part in the game for this Board is about it.

I was really looking forward to the unintended comedy and total awkwardness of Jenny interviewing her man Will.

Sigh.  I feel a little deprived here.

Recently, Dell has been filling in as anchor on “NESN Sports Today,” a perfectly viable role but one that according to another industry source is her penance for . . .

Another moment when Dale Arnold has got to be thinking what the fuck did I ever do to deserve this sports purgatory I exist in now

Not sure why Dale Arnold would think twice about it.  He's got a fairly good gig anchoring the studio stuff for the B's, and he has filled in anchoring Sports Today or whatever they're calling it this week during the B's offseason.

"Insider source" email to Portnoy at Barstool Sports.

“NESN knew about her and Will during the 2012 season and did nothing. Never even considered reassigning her this time last year. They’re only pissed because this is now finally public. Yet they never threw a fit at Heidi when she banged half the clubhouse. Jenny was ready to take a new job and let everyone peacefully part ways. NESN decided to start fucking with her and saying she’s got a non-compete and sue to make sure she doesn’t take another job. So they had an easy out but chose to make her life miserable instead. This is high school drama shit they’re pulling. A total power move to show what kind of assholes they can be. I’m perfectly in line with the conflict of interest angle but it would be great if you could expose NESN for their BS on Barstool. Heidi admitted it to everyone in-house. They actually fired her once in a big dramatic meeting but Werner then gave her a raise.”

Its barstool, so perhaps redundnat, but this smells like BS.

1. Who made it public, and thus imposssible to part ways without addressing the issue?
2.  No non-compete on Earth Could "make sure she doesn’t take another job" except maybe in the Boston market (but not at Boston Market).

I'm guessing the source is named Denny Jell or Mill Widdlebrooks.

The claims by the "insider" sound perfectly plausible. It still doesn't change the fact that all sideline reporters and the job itself are worthless and pointless.

It's part of a pretty weird dichotomy if true. With Dell, you've got a NESN employee who doesn't want to stay there but they won't let her leave. With Remy, you've got a NESN employee they'd likely prefer to part ways with, yet they can't really prevent him from returning without being the bad guys.

WTF does this mean?

Heidi admitted what once? Banging half the clubhouse? What does this have to with Dell?

Jamie Erdahl IS the best choice.  And she strikes me as professional and won't be trolling for a meat puppet in uniform......

As for Dell and WMB - We better get a sex tape out of this :fap:

It sounds like it was written by a high school student.

That's why it doesn't ring true to me. There is no plausible reason why they wouldn't let her leave.

That line about Heidi is frat boy fantasy nonsense. Do you honestly think that could happen without us hearing a word about it? Dell and WMB didn't even make it a year before it went public (it was reported before they announced it). The rest of it is likely bullshit too. Barstool is a disease.

NESN should kill this job if for no other reason to put an end to the nightly debate about who current and past occupants are/were "banging."

The only team I can think of that does not have one is the Dodgers when VIn is calling games….

I really really liked Eric Frede, but from the game-thread reactions to the obvious assets of the females holding this job right here in the Sosh game-threads, I've concluded that the boys in the front-office know what they're doing.
