How is the Microcell? My wife's parents have the Verizon one and it's not very good.

They have 1 bar of coverage (maybe) usually and it brings it up to 2 maybe 3. Even when on it, it's spotty at best.

I've had a VZW microcell for several years, maybe as long as five years. Kind of OK results, nothing spectacular. Anything in the newest technology that would make a compelling case for upgrading?

I'm really not digging how pictures are now actually treated like videos due to Live Photos and shut off whatever audio you're playing when you go to snap a pic.
Alright, while this still has yet to be fixed, at least podcasts will now resume after you close the camera. It still shuts off the audio stream even if you have live photos shut off, though.

Oh vey

"Cook, who was in New York attending an Hour of Code session on Wednesday, told Mashable that other battery cases like those offered by Mophie ">are difficult to put on and take off due to their rigid full-length battery packs.

"You know, I probably wouldn't call it 'the hump,'" Cook said, referring to the protruding battery pack. "If you make this solid all the way across, in order to get it on, you'd find it very difficult to get it on and off. So the guys had this great insight to put the bend in along with making it a smart case."

That, or Mophie owns the ornamental design IP for all the decent designs and these are the scraps that Apple is left with.

which is what The Verge basically posted word for word earlier. It's still extremely ugly. If Mophie owns the patents to make a decent case either license it, buy Mophie with the lint in Tim Cook's pocket or don't do it. Releasing this thing isn't doing anyone any favors, it's not hurting anyone, but seems like a big waste of R&D and time.
