I suck at starting game threads. Take Six.

I really did not like those cup winning Devils teams, both because of their style of play and their personnel.

Of course this is one of the greatest moments in hockey history:

I have to say, I am seriously impressed by how much you suck at starting game threads, and I urge you to continue being so sucky.

There's no way Loui gets traded at this rate. They'll be buyers at the deadline.

Colin Miller seems like a player to me. He's like the opposite of Kevin I that I almost never see him make a play and think "man that was horrible, who was that?"

In what world was that a trip? It was body to body, even if it wasn't dead on.

I'll take this one step further. The times when 48 makes an error its almost always because he is being aggressive, trying to get the puck out. I think you can excuse that from a young player because you can dream on what that looks like when he gets it all together and cuts down on those errors. 86 is the opposite. Almost all of his mistakes are passive. He's backing up for no reason, or he is waiting for his man to come to him, or he's standing around for no reason. There is zero upside to that kind of play.

Also i hate him, though I will admit he has been a bit better since he came back from injury.

Gionta not so strong on his skates there against Ferraro, then Palmieri jumps Landon, throwing haymakers and no call whatsoever. Weird night for the refs, I've seen a couple trips and one uncalled interference penalty. Typical treatment of the Bruins.

He's been pretty snakebitten from a scoring perspective but Beleskey has had a great month or so. Making a ton of little plays out there

Chara has had an awful penchant for turnovers that spring the other team this year. As big as his shot is and as good as he is at so many things he's really a risk to have out there in these situations

His stick work has taken a step back and he's lost a step. Years past, he would have picked that back before the skater got away from him. He's had a few of those missed pokes this game.

Schneider is the only thing keeping NJ alive. The Devils will be so lucky if this gets to a shootout.

Wow we got our money's worth in that OT. That was crazy.

Really wanted Vatrano to bury that one. What an effort.

That game should have ended in a tie. Neither goalie deserved to lose.

B's 1 point out of 1st with 2 games in hand.

I haven't been able to watch a lot but that sounds exactly like him at BC. Wasn't ever able to put it together to the same degree as his brother.

Who knows what'll happen the rest of the season, but may as well take this moment to offer a tip of the cap to Sweeney and Clode. Fighting for first place on New Year's Day? I sure as hell didn't see that coming.
