Le sigh, have to wait until 2 for the call that will tell me whether or not I'm being offered a job. I've had four separate interviews with three different people in the last 2-3 weeks, and this after never really going through a formal interview process for a job. I do not want to go back to the drawing board and/or rest all my hopes on the shoulders of my game show pitch that has at best a 5% chance of going anywhere soon.
If you hate your job, start looking now. New budgets for some companies begin 1/1, and companies generally start to hire based on need around then. Put yourself out there, you'll get more bites than usual.
Or, become a software engineer. I beat off recruiters 2-3 times a week because the job market is so good.

This was supposed to be the season where the trolls could come back out with their "Fire Clode!" and "Tuukka isn't elite" talk. They were all so loud in October, but mysteriously so quiet now. Such a shame.
I was walking with a co-worker the other day and I had to drop off my lesson plans in my boss's mailbox. I turned to my co-worker and said "hang on, I need to stuff this in Pam's box." There was a moment of stunned silence, and without looking at her I said "do you watch Archer?" to which she erupted with laughter. We can't pass in the halls without saying Phrasing.
I was all ready to come here and bitch about how the company went Full Clode and went with some grizzled veteran, and it was going to be full of Geoff Ward references and so on buuuuuuuuut they offered me the job.
Of course, human nature kicks in and I'm now worried I didn't ask for enough since they met my salary request exactly. But it's a job that doesn't come ready-made with an annual months-long hiatus so that's pretty neat.

Had to decline tix to the game tonite since I am on call. I will instead have a Dogfish 120. Slowly.
Just the last 24 hours.
edit: got home in time for puck drop, probably working through the weekend, did not know at 9AM today that I would need to.
Bruins need to come up with a win tonight. Pittsburgh looks about as interested in playing hockey as I am in reading on of Kilgore's scripts.
