Lol at least they all got shots off?

So sad that the only chance of scoring in the shootout anyone on the Bruins has is to take a straight shot.

Not good, I guess I should have said I had a bad feeling....... Oops.

Thursday is an absolutely ENORMOUS game. It's a de facto playoff game. Bruins lose and Ottawa is 2 out with a game in hand.

Svedberg has frightened the shit out of me this season. Maybe he needs time to get in a groove, but he looks dangerous out there. It was always my impression he would be a bit better.

and does the SOL mean I have to start the next game thread?

Nope. You have to have a win before you get to continue on an OT or SOL.

Next man up.

As I said, I missed most of the game last night. Did he look bad? 24 shots - 23 saves looks fine on the scoresheet, but it sounds like you think he was spastic out there (maybe the same way we felt about Johnson the year before). Was was he doing that had you worried?

Svedberg is Timmy lite. He had some great saves, but he's not positionally sound like Tuukka is, so the saves he makes look unorthodox. He had a great game, and the one goal he did give up was a shot was going wide and got redirected on him.

This board never thought Timmy looked good either, even when he was putting up Vezina caliber seasons.

And he wasn't great either until he got his hip fixed, changed his equipment, and the way he played to not scramble as much.

Your observations on Sveddy are valid. He's bigger than Thomas was though, maybe if he calms down some he can cover the net and be more effective. He's still pretty young, although given his contract status he likely will be elsewhere next year.

If that was a great game, I'm even more worried. He was a rebound machine and was slow to react to a couple of opportunities that could have ended poorly.
