I bought a $5 ticket to see a Red Sox pitcher give up zero hits in a game, in October...

It was October 1, 2006. The pitcher was Devern Hansack, and the game was rain-shortened to 5 innings (after a several hour delay getting started).

The Orioles looked so much like a last place team happy to be playing the last game of the season and just looked in a hurry to get out of there. I think the Umpires felt the same.

When they called the game, the Red Sox were pissed...especially Jason Varitek.

I was at Derrick Lowe's. The Rays were quite feeble that day.

I was at Lester's no-hitter, cold day at the park, but he had the Royals off-balance throughout. 2508899828_58e8e9cccc_b.jpg 2508077585_c5c96687e5_z.jpg
