I joined this board way back when to complain about Jimy Williams.

Today is the 15th anniversary of him being fired. Every damn day of my life since then has improved. There is nothing positive that I can say about him.

He is everything that was pre-2004 Red Sox boiled down into its more pure, hateful form.

Well the next month was a bit rough, what with the disaster of Sox under Joe Kerrigan and all. But your general point holds.

I would sleep naked, for eternity, underneath a bearskin rug WITH Joe Kerrigan AND his porn mustache while Satan watched stalker-style if it meant that my children would never have to experience a Sox manager like Jimy Williams.

Manager's Decision my ass
There is something so fitting about the board unknowingly celebrating the 15th anniversary of the end of Jimy by arguing incessantly about (Farrell's) manager's decisions.

Too bad Farrell does not have Jimy William's sole postive attribute. We could certainly use it now. I don't totally hate Jimy as much as some of you around here since we managed to win a post season series for the first time since1986 while he was here. I could not stand hearing my Met fan friends saying how we had not a series since1986.

The fuck are you doing with Mets fans as friends? It's like cuddling up to Mussolini's brownshirts.

MYRTLE BEACH!!!!
Wasn't he the one who flipped the shortstop and second baseman in the field (can't remember who the actual players were) on consecutive days and answered "managers decision" when the press asked him about it?

Back then, on the Providence Journal's board, I'd kept a game-by-game log on Jimy's "manager's decisions" on a thread titled "Mr. Weeble's Diary."
