Fun facts:

SoSH was founded in 1998.

Since than,
The Patriots have won 3 championships.
The Red Sox have won 2 championships.
The Celtics have won 1 championship.
The Bruins have won 1 championship.

Coincidence? I think not. SoSH is a force to be reckoned with.

And maybe they are. Just not for few years.
These 2 loses have to be demoralizing. You get on the plane, you go home and get ready for game 3 - but how do you get it done? No beating the 'nucks.
But how the fuck do the Briuns get up and get it done in game 3? Is Claude making effective changes? No. Does he have any answer for the Canucks? Not yet. He's sounded like a moron talking to the press all post season. He's the wrong guy for this team, but he's coming back now in 2012 win or lose now. So what does he do after this demoralizing setback?

So I'll ask my reasonable question again - how do the Bruins get this done? It seems like there's no beating the Canucks. Can someone else step up?
Ladies and gentlemen, soPhisHticated!

I haven't been here since around 6 PM. Reading this thread will be a lot of fun.

For now, I'll leave it as major hearty congrats to all of the Bruins fans who post here.

I found these a few days ago after the B's won G5. I thought them to be galvanizing statements, and super cocky even by fanbase standards. I say we march into Vancouver and shock the world, why not? Come back to Boston up 2-0. We can fucking do this. It starts with Game 1, we must win that one first. We do this by our nameless forwards shoving pucks so far up Luongo's ass you can dribble him off the ice. Fuck these overconfident, disrespectful bastards. They forgot that this is OUR time. I cannot wait until Wed.......

"I hope the Lightning win the Eastern Final... so then i can see myCanucks win the Cup on home ice in 5 games... what a treat that willbe... if the zebras insist on making sure Boston wins... sadly i willhave to go to the airport to greet the Canucks and the Cup after theysweep the Bruins in 4."

"Regardless if it went 5,6 or 7 games, the best team in hockey were going to thefinals. The Sharks were easily the second best team in the NHL. Sobring on the Bruins and their no-talent forwards or the Bolts withtheir weak back end, the result is inevitable anyway. Nucks in 5."

It should be noted that JulE6 Bot approves of these quotes.

(Sorry I do not have a link to the source of these posts, I grabbed them real quick while getting ready for work, did not post them prior because I wanted to make sure we were in first...)
Hey Vancouver, tell me how that crow tastes!? (in my Shaq voice)

I still can't quite describe the feeling. About to ask my boss and two supervisors to form a massage circle and throw on some Deep Dish.

I have so many things to say, so many emotions to recap, so many memories to...remember, but I'm just flat out too exhausted to do any of that.

My favorite fact that no one has mentioned, here or in the media, is that 4 times in this series the Bruins had a 3-0 lead in a game, and all 4 times they made it 4-0 and won the game. Just an incredible exorcising of the demons all around this year.

I love this team.

I can't believe I made it into work on time today. My head hurts, my body aches, and my watch broke last night because I gave a high five a little too hard. But hell if it ain't a great feeling.

I want to start about a billion threads at once. Mark Recchi played his balls off, he should be proud to call that his final game even if he didn't get on the scoresheet.

Wow. Congrats guys. It's a Christmas miracle I'm alive right now. I have no idea how I made it back to my hotel room last night. I think I may have paid a homeless man 5 bucks to walk me back?

What's the word on the parade? I'm going to have to get to the airport early as balls to catch a standby if they decide to do Friday.

This is real. Holeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee shit.

I can't stop smiling either. Tired as hell getting up at 6. Bought 2 papers on the way.

Totally useless today. What a great, great time to be a Boston sports fan. Who would have thunk that 10 years ago.

First off... Holy Shit! I still can't believe that happened. listening to TSH this morning they played the montage of every goal from the Final and i got chills when they played Marchand's empty netter...Looking back, the game was absolutely never in doubt but, in the moment, i only let myself believe when that ENG was potted.

I also want to point out how the book and the practice all series against LeBrongo was high glove, high glove. All 3 goals scored on grease-ball were along the ice. Just an epic pants shitting

I didn't go to sleep until the Bruins were Stanley Cup Champions again on the replay. Man it feels good to type that. A quick 4 hour nap and now it's time for the taped Felger post-game and the CBC feed. Busy day ahead!

Seems lost in this but O'Halloran and Walkom once again ref'd a heck of a game. Without the Union rules I'd be pulling for them to officiate every Conference and Cup Finals game.

I was named after Brad Park, and I'm seriously considering naming my first-born after Brad Marchand. I think his work on the first goal epitomizes the difference in this series.

And, to echo PSK's post above, I think the refs did a great, great job. There were probably 2 penalties on either side that could've been called, but in the end, I'm glad they erred on the side of swallowing their whistles. What a difference from NBA officiating.

The little town of Bethlehem.
It will be mid-80's outside but I don't see my B's jersey coming off today.
Agreed 98% about the refs but when Hansen started running around blindsiding guys (Z and Ference), I have to say I was concerned.

Unfortunately it's not quite full. No intermissions and there's a few postgame interviews that didn't make it. All the game action made it. We try to get Don Cherry in there on these 3-hour re-airs, but the postgame celebrations were obviously more important. He picks Vancouver in the pre-game, though, and that made it.

I don't think the program guide indicates it, but the re-airs are as follows:

12pm NBC
2pm CBC
8pm CBC (3-hours)
12am CBC (3-hours)

I would imagine at some point the entire series will re-air on the network so be on the lookout.
I now have the 2 pm one set to record as well as 12 pm. I want to hear what the CBC crew called. Someone posted upthread they were actually more "fair" than Emrick and crew. Thanks again, jtn, for this information.

Really happy I got on board the Bruins train full bore for the first time since the Orr years. It was rather impossible to keep up with them after moving to CA in the 70s though.

One of my favorite parts of the night was seeing Vancouver down 3-0 and resort to diving and begging for calls from the refs while taking unreal cheap shots at our guys and getting called out for it by the announcers on national television.

Awesome to see an opponent flail around pathetically before you put the final nail in.
