Enough of this shit. Win tomorrow and get home ice back.

Get pucks to the net and speed up Bob / Panarin's moves to South Florida

The horseshoe currently lodged in Bobrovsky's ass will fall out and the Bruins will put up 6 goals on him.

Mark it down.

If they bring last night's effort again, they should win. Sure it wasn't anywhere near perfect, but the puck luck has to flip tonight.

PSK:2019 Bruins Game Threads::Yammer:2004 Red Sox Game Threads.

Marchand gets his head out of his ass and finds the back of the net again. Pasta has a non-shitty performance. Tuukka is nails again.
Win.

Just stop hitting fucking posts.
McAvoy beat Bob clean and Bob reacted a 1/2 second after Acciari clanged the post. Either of those go in and the narrative is changed. Also shoot high glove as much as possible. Bob's flexibility and quickness allows him to take away the bottom of the net post to post but we've already seen him give up a soft glove side goal to Gryz and he's fumbled a couple others glove side.

This year's Bruins team has thrived under adversity. Chara goes down with injury in November? No problem, next man up. Bergeron goes down the next game? No problem, next man up. Pastrnak goes down in February? No problem, next man up.

It was the same in the playoffs. Toronto goes up 1-0? Fine, Tuukka's just gonna stop everything the next game. Then Toronto goes up 2-1? Fine, we'll drop a 6-spot on you and then let you get close to think you have a chance. Now Toronto goes up 3-2? Don't worry about it, Bs play their best game of the year in Game 6 and then leave no doubt in Game 7.

So now the cute little Blue Jackets have a 2-1 series lead and they like to shoot off cannons in their building because apparently Ohio has some kind of great war history despite Wikipedia telling me that less than 2,000 men have ever died in battles fought in the state of Ohio. Oh, and to top it off, the cannon is a model used by the French during the Civil War. Nothing like using a French military instrument to try to spur your team to victory. Yippee.

This team from Columbus and their overconfident fans need to be put in their place. And that place is understanding that making it to the second round of the playoffs and winning a couple games doesn't mean shit. Because your hot goalie isn't really that hot, he just got saved by three posts on rockets that he had no chance of stopping last game. Tonight, that tide turns, and Fraudrovsky will shrivel.

I expect nothing less than a 4-1 Bruins victory tonight.

Do not rip their hearts out. I want them alive for the coming destruction.

Per twitter:

Backes in for Kuhlman.

Pasta back with Bergy/Marchand.

I don't disagree with the Backes move. You don't need the speed against Columbus like you did against Toronto, and Backes is a solid body in front of the net. Maybe some of those Bob rebounds finally find a heavy stick.

They had 37 shots last night.
And it finally showed. They also spent a fair amount of time being too cute by half with the puck. 2.5 games or so. They are exceedingly too cute on the powerplay.

Bobrovsky has given up rebounds, but Columbus has been good at getting their sticks on almost everything. Pour rubber at the net and grab some grimy goals.

I'm with you. Backes can take us space in front of Bobrovsky, he can lay some heavy hits on guys (including the guys that have been jamming and ramming Pastrnak all series), and he can provide contagious energy. It's worth a try.

Backes is the right move against CBJ, they are a heavy team and he is a better match up.

I’m skeptical on Pasta back on the first line but I trust Cassidy at this point.

Going to the Taco Tour in Manchester that starts at 4pm. Last year I ate 14 tacos, looking to beat that number this year.

It's going to be a magical fucking day ladies and gents.

Backes sort of reminds me of 2011 Shawn Thornton.

He won't play a lot, but his goal is to go out there, throw the body around, bring up the energy level, and keep the other team honest.

* Try to shoot from inside the faceoff dots (from the shot chart 19 of 37 were from outside). Outside shots have no angle and don't lead to rebounds that can be handled
* If you put them on a PP, don't let them keep the puck in the zone for 1:53 of it
* Make passes to the guys in the white shirts. Lose the cute shit
* If you do turn it over, make sure it was at least forced

And Backes is both strong enough to stay in front and willing to let a Chara back-scratcher go in off his face, if necessary. Johansson is sorta big, which is, I guess, why he stays in the lineup, but he didn't seem strong enough on his skates in front. (Not to mention a few too many fly-bys in Game 2 that pissed me off.)

Taking my son to his first Bruins game on Saturday night. For Boston, New England, all of you, and my son and I, please let the series be tied 2-2.

If a penalty should be called, I think Backes should be on the PP in place of Johansson who seems to camp out just off the net but to the outside. Doesn't seem to be working against Columbus.

If Backes can dial this team's intensity up to Game 2 v Toronto levels, then its the right move. Bruins have been out-Bruined in this series so far, and that needs to end tonight.
