Here
Bradford in Kelly's system? What is this guy doing?

Oh, he got a second rounder?

That would change the equation.

I have to imagine Kelly is banking on moving up in the draft to get Mariota. Foles is a much better prospect at QB than Bradford.

Eagles got a second round pick from the Rams in this deal.

Wow.  Great move by Chip Kelly.

Then why sign Sanchez?

I could see rolling with Sanchez until Mariota is ready--hell, I was thinking they trade Foles and a pick to Jets to get Mariota.

Not sure of NFL rules--can Eagles now trade Bradford?

They could always trade Sanchez back to the Jets, lol.

Nfl network reported it as a swap of first round picks. Which it could be, and would be a clear sign if a first step to mariota.

If not. I'm lost.

This is an NBA style salary dump. Take the injured expensive uncuttable player for the young cheap one and give up a pick.

But yeah why Sanchez if this is the plan. I mean even if it is a move towards mariota why now? Why tell everyone and make the price go up on step two.

The Kelly era is not dull!

Not according to the Rams beat writer, but who knows at this point.

I'm told by Rams that Bradford-Foles trade does NOT involve swap of first-round picks.

Wow, now it looks like it's actually the Rams getting the better of the draft picks.

Eagles get Bradford and a 5th-round pick from St. Louis this year.
Rams get Foles, a 4th-rounder this year, and a 2nd-rounder in 16.

I just have no idea what the fuck he is doing. That is a brutal trade to me.
Bradford is much more expensive coming off two all injuries and is hardly a sure thing.

This is nuts.

the 2016 2nd is contingent on Bradford being the Eagles starter in 2015

I have a soft spot for the Rams and this move is fantastic. I don't know what the Eagles are doing and I couldn't care less. Thank you, Chip.

The second being conditional on him being uninjured is nice insurance but we've yet to see that he's worth a second round pick even if healthy, right? Not a foles fan but weird weird move.

The only way it makes sense is if someone high enough in the draft to get Mariota prefers getting Bradford to Foles as part of the package in return.

If so, you'd have to think possibly the Titans or the Jags have an interest. Who knows.

Or Jets, but why be such a risky middle man. I mean I guess you have to let him finish the plan but shit, right now they look like thye've given up assets to have a Bradford/ Sanchez competition.

Why doesn't Chip like these players (Foles, McCoy, etc.)? Besides the racism thing I mean. Is it a need to be in total control? Sanchez and Bradford don't necessarily strike me as QBs particularly suited for a Chip Kelly offense.

Actually, I'm reading the Rams get the '16 2nd rounder no matter what, but will send a '16 4th rounder to Philly if Bradford plays less than 50% of snaps in '15, and a '16 3rd rounder if he misses the entire '15 season.

I have no idea what Chip is doing. But it's been fun.

Usually you can see vision with moves, movement toward an end goal.

I have no idea what that end goal is right now.

Count me in the minoriy on this move. I've always thought Bradford had the chance to be an elite QB if healthy. Granted, that's been a huge "IF"", but in his last 23 games of actually playing football he was 60%, 35TD and 17INT with a rating of 83 and 91 with minimal help on the offensive side of the ball. He can make all the throws and in Kelly's system could be something. I don't think its that bad of a risk to take for Chipper.

Yeah, I would have thought the draft picks would have gone the opposite way.  Taking on Bradford's contract has to be worth more compensation, let alone giving away more picks for a worse one.

Chip Kelly done lost his mind.
