Earlier, Gorman said, "The Knicks have committed only seven fouls." He should've said, "The Knicks have been called for only seven fouls."
C's are pretty much dominating every statistical category, except shooting, which is about even, and rebounding, which is about even (but the C's have 8 offensive boards to just 3 for NY). The C's have taken 16 more shots from the field, and made 6 more, including 2 extra 3's. C's have 7 steals and 4 blocks (Knicks have 3 combined). Knicks have 11 turnovers to 5 for the C's. So, how is this only a 7 point game. 10-3 in free throw points.
And yet, you look up, and it's a 14 point lead. And the spread was...yep. 14. Vegas is so, so much better at this shit than we are..
True. But the good news for those not betting is that the NBA isn't weighting margins of victory in the standings. If the Cs win this by one point, I am fine with it. Even considering that the Knicks are a notch above a G League team right now.
Hope Brad leaves Kyrie on the bench for the remainder of this one. After all, he's been hurt, and needed time off the past week or so, cough, cough...
If this team could play at a consistent intensity, they would be unbeatable. They go from randomly walking around the court without a purpose to 15-0 runs at the drop of a hat.
When Jaylen turns it up, it’s like in Rocky IV when Drago is fighting Creed and finally starts throwing punches.
The C's are the only team in the NBA that's in the top 5 in steals (4th) and blocks (5th), with 8.8 and 7.1 per game. They have 10 steals and 7 blocks so far in this one. They really do fill up the stat sheet on that side of the floor. Jaylen has 4 steals tonight.
