Kick off is 8PM GMT/3PM Eastern Time

This could well be Declan Rice's last game for The Irons. A victory would be a fine way to end his West Ham career.

I'd love to see Moyes win a trophy.

Come on you Irons.

Fiorentina is a good side that has been in good form this spring. I didn't see the match but most reports suggested that they had the better of things against Inter in the Copa Italia final and were unlucky to lose. They also had a nightmare first half of the season in Serie A but finished 9-4-2 over their last 15 matches.

I don't have a rooting interest but my gut is that La Viola wins this, with Moyes getting outfoxed.

Fiorentina are the fucking worst, at least 4 guys have immediately fallen to the ground whenever someone is near them.

Fiorentina have been the better side but also have pulled off the classic "Con the ref into thinking the other team is kicking you, so that he lets you kick them in return" strategy.

When I was first getting into soccer, I spent a couple years watching all the major domestic european leagues, and Fiorentina was the club I followed for Serie A. I remember them being less obnoxious about the stereotypical style of italian play, but that may just be rosy memories on my part.

West Ham doing the classic thing and not taking advantage of some good opportunities here, ugh.

Also, why was UEL finals last week, when Serie A still had a match week left? And why is UECL the 2nd to last European final? Shouldn't they be first?

You and I have speculated when/if Moyes would get the axe on here a time or two, but I still sort of end up skeptical they'd move onto someone better. Which isn't an argument for keeping Moyes, exactly, but more a sense of, I suppose, ennui at West Ham's future regardless of what decisions are made.
Yeah, I'm honestly not sure I'd move on this summer even if we could, I don't enjoy Moyes but the floor is usually pretty decent. I think the next manager will be tied to new owners who overhaul everything

is Moyes the most rumored manager to be sacked in a single season to win a continental trophy?

I'd like to see West Ham grab Soton/Leicester's relegated players to see how far they get in the UEL

Today also brings a great future trivia questions....who was the first player to win all 5 UEFA competitions?
