By the end the Caps got way too cute and were trying to find the perfect setup to get around Bob. Soon before the goal someone passed up a shot right in the slot in order to set up a backhand pass to nobody.
That feeling when you’re high from watching an OT thriller and realize there’s a whole other game on to cap off the night.
Niskanen, I think. Had a shot from the slot and ended up just tossing a backhander through the crease.

More fun notes and facts about how bad the Caps suck - became the 5th team in NHL playoff history to blow 2 goal leads in both games 1 & 2 of a series. Also, 5 previous teams have opened a series by loosing back to back games in OT, predictably all 5 went on to then lose the series after such a double gut punch opening, and these Caps will fold up pretty easily now also I think...

He’s really really good. It’s crazy how great that trade worked out for both teams, I don’t think either one would undo it.
Also - Panarin is a joy to watch. I can’t believe Chicago basically gave him away, he’s legit. And then I realized Pasta is basically him, but 5 years younger and got even more excited.
