Combining these threads for Western and Eastern conference series. It's how we usually do it, and it seems a bit cleaner and more consolidated. If anyone has a problem with it, please reach out to The Napkin
Checked the schedule for tomorrow, and yup, the NHL continues to not stagger games. 2 games start at 7. One of which will be a 6:00pm local start time! Anyways, Penguins/Flyers is always fun. Looking forward to that game tomorrow.
In Washington, John Anderson was given a 5 + Game for boarding, and Kuznetsov made them pay with two on the major. Columbus got one back, but I can't help but get a late-80s Winnipeg vibe from them (a great team stuck behind two legendary teams in their own division). Tampa's in comfortable shape right now, up 3-1 on New Jersey. In a shocker, Hall has NJ's goal, against goals from Palat, Johnson, and Gourde.
Columbus almost just scored an empty net own goal on a delayed penalty, down 1. Instead Seth Jones pops in the equalizer.
Bit of a different game tonight in Pittsburgh. Good lesson for the Bruins that 1 game don't mean shit. Not that they need it but still.
Giroux just used his rear end to separate Chris Letang's body from his soul. I'll post a gif when I find it. Letang's got a nasty hand wound from getting flipped. Edit: Grioux was off balance after a hit and Letang wasn't looking.
I don't understand today's schedule. Four games, with two at 3 ET then nothing til 7. Why not stagger the starts. And yes, I know I'm not the first to whine about this.
Cause they're giving everyone an hour and a half window to go eat dinner and smoke a bowl before coming back and watching the second round of games. I do wish they'd go 3/3:30 and 7/7:30 to stagger the intermissions so only one is on at the same time. About 1/5th of the usual intermission is useful, play that 3 minutes, go to commercial, then show the other game for the rest of the intermission.
This is more of a "dammit, I have to move into another room to watch on cable instead of streaming" frustration, but NBCSN's streams of both games right now have their audio swapped.
