Yeah that's absolutely a goal and obviously was live. There's no excuse for the call on the ice being no goal actually. Even if the net had been off it would still be a goal since St Louis knocked it off.

I'd knock Lundqvist for some of his rebounds, but they're going to parts of the ice that aren't near Lightning players.  They might be getting to them first, but not clearly, and not immediately either.

Only the Rangers can give up a goal on a 5 on 3 advantage. St. Louis is the worst player on the ice every game. I can't believe AV had him out there on that power play.

The Rangers basically give the middle finger to puck possession and advanced stats. They aspire to be the Chelsea of the NHL, park the bus around their all world goalie, and occasionally score on a counter. They live and die off a ridiculous PDO. All that with a bunch of distracted movie stars and suits providing zero atmosphere. If I wasn't a pissed off Islanders fan that wants them to lose already, I would not even watch this crap.

So you're saying there are multiple relatively effective ways to win hockey games?
Yeah, when you have Lundqvist in your net.

That's how you go to the net!

They were the third highest scoring team in the NHL this year. They didn't score occasionally.

Well I guess Stamkos won't be getting much benefit of the doubt on calls the rest of the series, huh?

Yeah, and they led the league in PDO. It's a bit late in he season to say they are due for a regression, but their style of play is not exactly easy on the eyes, IMO.

Carey Price SV% vs Tampa in playoffs - .896
Henrik Lundqvist  SV% vs Tampa in playoffs - .860

These are two of the very best goalies in the league.  This is a testament to the Tampa offense.

Yeah, they really are a pleasure to watch. Johnson, Stamkos, Kucherov, Palat, Killorn, Boyle, Filppula, Callahan, Paquette, just a really deep group of forwards playing very well right now.

Their power play is something any team should fear. Wow, that was a clinic on puck movement and the creation of great scoring chances.

The entire game turned on that St. Louis turnover on the 5 on 3. What a back breaker that goal was.

Keep in mind that list of players doesn't include Jonathan Drouin, who could turn into a great player himself.

Fun fact:

Drouin was SECOND in the league in assists per sixty minutes this year. (he played limited minutes, but did see PP time with Stamkos)

Cooper doesn't like his D apparently, so he's sitting. Maybe they do a Seguin with him?
