The Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was arrested Sunday on assault charges in East Lansing, Michigan.

Green was arrested at 2:28 a.m. ET Sunday and is scheduled for arraignment on July 20. No other details of the arrest were immediately available.

In a statement, the Warriors said they are "aware of news" involving Green.

"At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation," the Warriors said.

This guy has the scoop. Apparently slapped a current MSU player outside Conrad's in East Lansing. MSU player that was heckling is from Ohio, maybe heckling him about losing the finals. Really muchado about nothing but the ELPD will always jump to arrest a player.

Yeah, because we should totally let people physically assault others.

Personally I am wistful for the era when "alpha males" who try and pick fights were forced to deal with it when people sometimes obliged them. These frat boys are the first ones to run to mommy or the police when things don't go their way.

I was talking in general terms. (That sometimes assaults should be ignored by the police.) I have no idea what happened in this case and have no opinion on it.

Attorneys are running to Edmond$on's house faster than the next Pokemon stop to get to the next level.

I knew of this kid in my 20's who did stuff like this. He did it to Willie McGinest to name a few.

1. Get in face of athlete to heckle them.
2. Take a beating or at least a hit.
3. Fake injury or deal with legit injury.
4. Hire attorney
5. Settle out of court
6. Lather rinse repeat

Edmondson didn't want to press charges in the first place and per that guy's Twitter feed wants the charges dropped. The East Lansing PD is extremely aggressive and over the top.

I miss the halcyon days when people who tried to pick fights with star power forwards got thrown through plate glass windows.

Seriously, the criminal justice system will run its course, I'm sure, but this isn't domestic violence -- Occam's Razor says the guy on the receiving end of this had it coming.

It's almost as is talking trash to a 6'7 260 athlete with a volatile temperament is a bad idea.

There is a happy medium between turning a blind eye and going overboard.

After reading the police report, I'm pretty comfortable that the East Lansing police did exactly what they are supposed to do.

I clicked on this thread for testicle jokes and only JohnnytheBone delivered.
When JohnnytheBone makes a testicle reference, you really have to just let him have it.

Kind of like this, but Green instead of Curry:
