I don't think so on the handball

announcers said it might have been offside but I didn't see it

Origi? I didn’t even recognize him with his new hair. And he hits the post (while offside, admittedly).

Impressed with how Richarlison has taken a licking and keeps on ticking. He’a been getting the physical attention given to elite attackers, and he hasn’t complained or slowed down.

Not crazy about Zouma for Siggy. I understand that any visitor would be happy with a point under these circumstances but given the history here I want the three

He was the most-fouled player in the PL last season IIRC. He will go down easy sometimes but he legit takes a beating.

Hard to think of a shittier winner than that one. What a finish.

I almost can't be hurt by that because it was such a fucking fluke. You won't see that in a million years.

Almost.

Brutal for Everton and Pickford. They came out and went toe to toe for 94 minutes. Impressive performance.

Unbelievable that Origi is the hero and Kopp is chanting his name. Happy for the guy.

I’m speechless. I was about to go out for food but that was interesting enough that I’m glad I stuck around. I thought it hit the netting, but on second look Pickford hit it. Good call by the ref.

He's a clown. If Mourinho ran on the field like that during a game, he's be crucified. I get why Liverpool fans love him, and he's certainly one of the best 5-10 managers in the world, but I'm all set with his shtick. Hard to criticize the performance of his teams though.

Edit: I take it back. I'm just a jealous asshole who roots for a shitty team. My weekends being a series of kicks in the teeth is no reason to shit on Klopp or Liverpool for being excited about winning a Derby in the 95th minute.

This is where I'm at. It hurts but it was such an improbable goal I'm not going to kill Everton. NBC team now saying that Pickford screwed up for not just tipping it over the bar but I have a hard time calling that a mistake.

He should be suspended.

Of course it’s a mistake it’s a simple play. It was incredibly dumb

Pickford needs to either catch that ball or if he has any doubt, put it out over the bar, it's grade school goaltending fundamentals. What a horrible blunder to lose a derby in the last seconds. Yikes.

Looked at first like the ball might have gone all the way out when it went behind the crossbar, but I haven't seen a good replay so I guess it must not have.

As far as I can tell, he was playing for the goal kick and guarding the bar to make sure it didn’t bounce back in the play. But then it hit his hands unexpectedly, then hit the bar, then came back in play....By the book, he should have knocked it out of play. But he was playing to get the ball back and send one long for a last push.

Klopp should be fined or maybe a touchline ban for a game for running out there, but that kind of emotion is what you get with him. I don't blame him one bit, but yeah, he's got to get at least a slap on the wrist for doing it.

Wish I could go back in time and put a tenner on Origi scoring the winning goal.

Do you think there's a place for either of them? I think Ozil fits better in the team, but either could play a high mid behind Abumeyang and Lacazette.

Emery has made a huge difference with Xaka and Torreira has been a great addition. Perhaps Ozil and Ramsey need to go so that this team continues to play this semi-relentless style.
I don't mind Ramsey out on the wing, and he can also play in the holding midfield position as more aggressive counterpart to Torreira or Xhaka. Ozil, whom I love, can only play in a classic 10 position, and Emery plays that formation interestingly infrequently and expects all his field players to be capable of multiple positions. Wenger loved to build around that 10, he had Cesc, the promise of Wilshire and then Ozil. Emery won't limit himself to the style of a single player, neither should you be in today's game.

Silva took the high road with Klopp's celebration in his postgame interview.
I didn't see Klopp's reaction and if we scored that goal and been so lucky I might have done the same. I didn't see any disrespect.

It’s going to be a hell of a scramble between the three London teams for those last two Champion’s League spots

I just think Ramsey plays too far forward all the time. He's constantly out of position.. some days, like today, it works out. But others he's just in the way of the forwards. Bellerin was yelling at him today to get back after they were up 4-2. This is just my perception though.. I'd really like a player tracker for him to see how much time he actually spends in the opponent's half.

Ozil.. you're probably right, but he's such a good passer and creates so many chances.. I just don't see how he can't help you. And he plays just about as much D as Ramsey does (of course I exaggerate a bit here, but I really like Ozil (and don't love Ramsey) and will continue to watch him on his next team).

I genuinely feel for Pickford. I’ve watched the replay a bunch, and it’s hard to believe the situation went as it did.

He truly was just doing the right thing, making sure a ball coming at the crossbar couldn’t sneak in. Every keeper is taught to do that, even before we can reach the bar. Pickford’s greatest enemy is his height, and he simply caught the bar at the end of a long, emotional game. It forced his wrists forward, which slapped the ball. The rest is now derby history.

Pickford after the game (reading on Liverpool Echo app so no link but easily found)

I think it is the Everton luck when we come to Anfield. Like I say, there’s nowt I can do about it now. I’m strong mentally and I will get over it.

I just want to say sorry to the Everton fans because I know how much it means to them.

It was a freak one, really. It had hit the bar twice and I tried to flick it over. The ball spun and as I tried to flick it over, my hand hit the bar.
I was interested to hear what he had to say (and SM too as a keeper).

So it goes.

Watching the replay again, I finally noticed Sturridge. Look at the difference between how he and Origi are playing.
I'm really done with Sturridge.

Everyone except Origi had given up on the play. If Keane or Mina get over there and put a body on him

I don't want to further rehash what must have been a seriously painful moment for Everton fans. But that description from Pickford has almost no relationship to the actual event captured on video.
