Howdy folks,

We're looking into utilizing unspent budget for IT security.

The company has about 65 computers. It's a 24/7 manufacturing operation. The overall competence level of the user base is relatively low.

We use SEP to protect our servers, desktops, and laptops. Every employee goes through a cyber security awareness training. We have a Barracuda BDR solution with 3 hour incremental backups kept onsite for about a month and several months' worth mirrored on Barracuda's side. We also use Barracuda's mail filtering services.

We've had two Cryptolocker attacks in two years. Both were spotted, isolated, and resolved within a few hours, mainly due to the BDR.

Right now we're weighing an additional layer of protection, such as MalwareBytes, against additional education, such as phishme.com. The price is near as makes no difference the same.

I'd appreciate any insight or input folks have into good use of funds in a case such as this.

I'd buy something that you can ditch Symantec for and reuse tgat money . A lot of malware can be drove by downloads where education won't help. On mobile but I'll post a full response later
