It appears that Giroud has some kind of a knock. I expect (hope) that Wenger sets up relatively defensively and looks to play on the break so I wouldn't really want Giroud up top anyway. This is how I would set up, with Walcott and Sanchez switching frequently.

------------Walcott----------------
--Iwobi-----Ozil------Sanchez
---------Elneny--Xhaka---------
Monreal-Kos-Mustafi-Bellerin
-------------Cech-----------------

Santi on the bench because I'm not sure he can really handle playing 90 minutes twice a week anymore and because Elneny gives us more legs and defensive solidity.

The Champions League is my favorite sporting event of the year.

ESPN features many of the group stages matches on the Watch ESPN site, I think without needing an ESPN subscription.

Man City - Gladbach will be postponed. It is pissing rain all over Manchester.

Unai Emery is fielding a very conservative lineup for PSG. This could be a pretty cagey, dull match unless we get a first half goal that opens things up.

I think Atletico just caught a break: PSV had a corner, hit no one, but on the ball back in flicked in the first header. The ref called a push, which was a bit of a questionable call.

Celtic are going to have to give the ball a bit more love when they have it. Too many long or rushed balls when they have possession, Barca get the ball and start again. Celtic have to show a bit more self belief. At this rate 4-0 would be a decent score.

Sinclair beat a couple of players, played a nice pass to Dembele and the keeper brough him down. But the keeper did a great job of putting the guy off prior to the kick. But even so...fuckin do your job.

2-0 now.

I have 4-0 being semi respectable. but i can see it being 6-0

Yeah, Celtic can't give afford to miss chances like a penalty kick. It probably doesn't matter, but it's essential to play basically a perfect match against a full-strength Barcelona.

God you can really see the gulf in technique. When you have no time to think, you have to rely on your technique. A lot of Celtic players are just stcking their legs out at the ball when it comes near them. Back in the day they used to have top trumps and one of the categories for the footy players was vision. You need a bit of vision when you play Barca. You need an idea of what you're going to do with the ball before it comes.

And you need movement, much more movement.

Celtic players have been like rabbits, standing off totally in awe. Kind of reminds me of when I went to the Oscars. Maybe all the Barca players fail the drugggggz test. And there's 7

Edison Cavani might be the worst footballer I've ever seen.

Giroud and Verdetti(sic) are dumbasses.

Iwobi is an awful passer.

All things considered, I'm happy with the draw.

I'm no expert, but that felt like a proper humping to me.

One miracle win against Barca per decade is apparently all that's allowed to Celtic.
Oh it was a humping for sure. But Celtic gave them far too much respect. Barca were able to walk the ball to the halfway line, then make camp around the 18 yard box. It could have been 10-0. I hope Rodgers and the players and the folks who work in the staff canteen all realize that whatever strategy was attempted last night, it was utter fuckin mince and the players looked like jelly babies on life support.

Bhoys v men.

Are Jelly Babies the same consistency as Sour Patch Kids?
Excellent question. In general a Jelly Baby is soft and easy to bite and devour. Not overly chewy, in that there is little resistence, due of course to the amount of gelatine in Jelly Babies. Sour Patch Kids as i recall have more gelatine and take more out of you in the chewing.

You can bite the head off a Jelly Baby without much fuss. And were you to pull one appart from head to legs, there would be little if any stretch and resistence.

Hope I've cleared that up.

Of note, Monaco had to burn a sub 5 minutes in due to injury.
