Just for accuracy's sake the Jets should always be at his feet. Under them would be even better.

Edit: The Colts, Vikings, and Titans twitter accounts got into a bit of a shoving match over the use of the phrase "forge ahead" as THEIR slogan.

So the Merriam-Webster twitter account weighed in:

Now, teams. There's no reason you can't ALL 'forge ahead,' much like you copied each other when you lost to the Patriots.

Reminder to set your dvrs. Do Your Job II is on tonight.
Reiss with some details

5. Two NFL Films-produced programs that will air this week -- “Do Your Job Part II” (Sunday, NBC, 7 p.m. ET) and “America’s Game" (Wednesday, NFL Network, 9 p.m. ET) -- are must-see documentaries for Patriots fans. The “Do Your Job Part II” piece captures, among other things, how hard the team’s assistant coaches and personnel staff work, and part of what makes it so unique is the behind-the-scenes footage provided by Kraft Sports Productions. You really feel like you’re getting a peek behind the curtain. Meanwhile, the “America’s Game” documentary looks at the 2016 season with personality flavor added by Julian Edelman, Dont'a Hightower and LeGarrette Blount. You learn things such as how Edelman, who grew up a San Francisco 49ers fan, had two dogs named Dwight and Montana. They were named after 49ers greats Dwight Clark and Joe Montana, of course. And Hightower on what it’s been like playing for Nick Saban and Belichick over the past decade was unfiltered as he said (with a smile), “I’m very lucky and blessed, but not going to lie, it’s hell.”

That was awesome.
Was wondering about the hat Patricia was wearing during his interviews. My first thought was that it was an NFL hat with a red patch covering up the logo. But then I thought...why would he wear an NFL hat in the first place. Of course it is possible that it is an actual logo of some sort that I am not aware of.

But the moral of the story is Pink Stripes!

Ernie was trolling the broadcast. At some point he read about "Pink Stripes" and posted it again on his white board and wore... a pink striped shirt. Hope everyone gets it.

I thought it was okay -- there wasn't as much details as the first one with respect to the behind-the-scenes coaching stuff I thought. Some of it seemed a bit contrived, like talking about the KC holding call and the Dion Lewis play against 55.

I love Ernie Adams though. He is amazing.

I liked it. Too much about the amazing foresight of a third two-point play and the Ed Norton Rounders poker references were a little heavy handed.

But I bought the entire Patricia part. That fucker caught a vibe, called a pass defense in a run situation, and then ran a play to get a holding call in a desperate situation because he knew the personnel and their tendencies. Just like Belichick not calling time out in 49, that's the kind of stuff you can do only when you're so prepared and so unconcerned about what's conventional that you can play an instinct. Both could have failed dramatically, but what both have in common is that they were in losing positions and they figured out on the fly what gave them the incrementally better chance.

The weirdest thing about the show was them criticizing Freeman's blitz pick up so freely. Hearing that stood out because you realize you never hear them dump on opponents like that.

I too was hoping for more inside stuff but I suppose the Pats will only give up so much. First one was better but here's to hoping for a third!

Not wanting to pile on, there is no way I could have seen that video otherwise. It had a lot of new information in it about how the coaches researched, planned and then called the game. That added a perspective to the 3rd and 4th quater of the SB that increeased my understanding, so thank you very much.

"Still chasing it" - what an awesome phrase. I hope it catches on and helps drive the team this year.

That was my favorite part. With all of Freeman's talk in the offseason, I thoroughly enjoyed thinking about him throwing shit at the TV as he watched it last night. I particularly liked the D-Line coach doubling-down with something like "this guy has problems with blitz pickup, like real problems" or something to that effect.

Caught it last night, I thought the first one was better, mainly the on the field stuff after the SB win, but it was still entertaining.

Some of the inside stuff was great, BB had them practice two point plays as he thought it was going to be a high scoring game. They needed two 2 point conversions and got them both as a result of the pre game practicing.

Also liked how they noticed Jones ran better routes to his right planting and cutting on his left foot vs routes to his left where he planted and cut on his right foot due to a lingering injury, amazing how they pick up on the smallest things.

The Freeman bit was interesting too; when the player who's normally in there for blitz pick up got hurt on the previous play and Freeman was in there instead, they attacked that weakness and it paid off, nice overhead shots of the play showing how they disguised the blitz, Freeman did not see Hightower until it was too late.

When you watch shows like this, you understand why this team has been so dominant for so long, the head coach is the main reason, he doesn't miss a thing.

Watching this, you can see why they went and got more speed at WR.
I may have missed this...why do you think this?

Also, like what they called Amendola--a "trash receiver". lol

Honestly, watching this--I still cannot believe they won. It's just insane.

On the Hightower strip sack, you'll notice that there was almost a perfectly straight line from Hightower, the slot receiver, and Freeman, such that at a glance, I bet it would have been very hard for Freeman to even see Hightower, since his vision would have been blocked by his own guy in the way.

I thought in the first half they couldn't break away from Atlanta's man to man coverage because there wasn't much speed. I thought overall the Patriots' team speed was lacking in that game compared to Atlanta's. It wasn't until the 2nd half where Hogan and Mitchell were beating the M2M coverage on the outside with comebackers that the underneath stuff to Edelman and Amendola were opening up. Now having multiple WR's that have great speed will make it easier to stretch the field vertically. Where before it was only Gronk and Hogan who could do it now they can add Cooks and Dorsett to that mix. That will open up the underneath option routes and the flats for the RB's moreso than last year.

After watching DYJ 2, it has kind of changed the way that I viewed that game. The lore of the game is that once Atlanta scored to make it 28-3, about 18 out of 18 things had to go right for the Patriots to win.

For sure, there were a significant number of 50/50 things that happened in the Patriots' favor, and they got some breaks -- the two biggest being the Falcons deciding to throw on 2d and short and Coleman getting hurt the play before the strip sack. But there were also a fair number of things that didn't go right. A missed extra point, a bad onside kick, Brady getting sacked twice in the red zone, a couple of big plays for loss in overtime and the four quarter on first down, the blown double pass, Brady missing Jules down the sideline, Freeman's wide open 30-yard catch after the Patriots cut it to 8, and of course Jones' amazing catch.

The truth of that game is plenty happened that you wouldn't think could actually happen and have a team still score 25 unanswered. But they just kept grinding. That's really the story of the game. No looking back, no feeling sorry, just approach the ball as it lies and play your best shot and start walking.

But the fact does remain, there were about 5-10 plays that if they didn't perfectly go the Patriots way, they would have lost. The 4th down. The strip sack. Atlanta's decision to not run.(multiple) The two two point conversions. The sack taking them out of FG range. And there are more, this is off the top of my head.

Yeah, it wasn't like 30 things went perfectly for the Patriots, but 25 did and about 5 things went right for Atlanta and nothing went perfectly because they scored 0 points once the comeback started.

Well during the comeback/win the onside kick went for Atlanta, the missed extra point went for Atlanta, The Lewis fake play went for Atlanta and Lewis got hurt, the Julio Jones catch went for Atlanta, the halfback pass went for Atlanta, they got back to back sacks on Brady, Ryan threw a ball near the end of regulation that got intercepted by Harmon but he got pushed OOB before his feet came down., (edit) the trick punt return play went for Atlanta. Any of those plays goes the other way maybe we don't see OT. Atlanta was shut out on five straight possessions for the second time this year: is that their poor play, the number one scoring defense's good play or a combination of both?

And anyway, in terms of plays going the Falcons vs Pats way all the opposite is true to make it 28-3 to begin with.

But part of the setup was Hightower complaining to the ref on the previous play after he was tackled while rushing the passer. I wonder if players were coached to do this also or if it was Hightower being heady.

Btw anyone have a link to Do Your Job part 1?
