This PP unit is making good passes to get good shots.  This is not something they did a lot last year.

Connolly and Hayes on the PP over Pasta is criminal.

I'm still not sure how Beleskey managed to entirely miss the net on that doorstep shot.

Head up Marchand, had Loui wide open
He didn't see him on the net drive, and then his back was turned. And Myers was taking up space. but yeah, Loui could have walked that in.

It's not even a full period, but the possession and transitions have been pretty good, especially the first two lines.

4 A+ scoring chances so far... ugh

though hatewatching is in full-effect this year, my disdain is from streaming in class instead of being in the building tonight

Loui's gotta be screaming his Swedish face off in that situation

No complaints overall, just the normal lack of finish, but Winnipeg's also pretty bad

Sarah Davis is better that Guerin Austin - but she's no Jamie Erdahl.

Sigh.
It's great seeing Jamie on the NFL on CBS and Kathryn Tappen on the NFL on NBC, but damn I miss seeing them every night on NESN.

I don't recall seeing Bergeron that pissed off for a while.
Elbow to the head, not what he needs. Be interesting to see later in the game. I always cringe on the very few occasions that Bergeron fights. Hope this isn't one for him.

Pretty easy steparound of Trotman by Wheeler
I saw this play, not a great moment for Trotman. Later in the period Trotman was hacking at the puck 4, 5 times it was funny because he eventually got it cleared.

Overall, the defense looked pretty good though.

They look really good so far. Fast.
Def have picked up the pace of play. Last season all four lines all seemed to plod along, always a step behind... I had no idea how they finished with 96 points because they never really seemed to carry play. Its only been one period but the lines are flying.

Stuart dumping Marchand on that little spin-o-rama made me yearn for the days of him in a Bruins uni :(

Just caught up on the DVR. Good start. Thought Marchand was excellent in particular. D holding their own.

This is Shithead's job.
Definitely, thus far the 4th line has seemed to play a bit less than lines 1-3. Krug leads in ice time which is expected with the power plays.
