Horseshit. On the hateable douchebag scale, Chris Nilan had chunks of 10000 Subbans in his stool. And Boston fans had no problem whatsoever cheering for him when he returned home to wear the black & gold.

I would LOVE it if Subban wore the black and gold.  Love it.

60 more minutes, boys. Just 60 more minutes and you'll shut that whole city of francophone motherfuckers up for the summer.

This is the most frustrating part. He's really fucking talented, but he can't help being an incredibly unlikable hockey player.

If he wasn't such a douche, he'd probably be a hugely influential to black kids, who might otherwise not care about hockey. But as a casual viewer, if you see the best black dude in the sport get booed daily, you might steer away from that.
kind of like chara gets booed?

For me it's gotten a lot harder to hate Subban. The diving is awful, but it's mandatory in Montreal, evidently. The guy is an awesome player
Yeah. It's Gordon Bombay's fault that Subban plays like a douchebag.

I'd be fine in theory with PK on the team except he would require a HUGE overpay which would be counterproductive for Boston. The key to the Bruins has been their depth and paying for PK would ruin that. Much rather spend the money keeping Hamilton, Krug, Soderberg etc.

It's not just a diving, it's stuff like throwing an elbow at the back of Lucic's head when Lucic was on his knees.

I'm aware they don't mandate diving in Montreal. At least I'm pretty sure they don't.

Again, compared to the shit Nilan pulled vs the B's, P.K. Subban is a well-behaved choir boy.

True, but like you said Nilan was a local kid so all could be forgiven. PK doesn't have that luxury.

You probably have me in that I would root him because of the laundry, but I would be fighting myself. I do it with Marchand, and Subban is worse. He's so very Montreal that I'm fine with him staying there and enhancing the rivalry. I like beating him more.

I wonder whether the thrill of scoring that second goal has dissipated at all for Subban? Maybe he's still basking in the goal.

I hated Nilan even more than I hate Subban. And that didn't stop when he put on the spoked B. He was a piece of shit.

Every time I hear Subban speak post-game, I'm usually still processing/drinking over the game (let alone being able to speak rationally about it). Regardless, it only solidifies how much I'd give to have him on the B's. He's one of the top talents in hockey - there is no doubt about this.

His skating and shooting abilities flat out change games for what is otherwise quite a pedestrian Canadiens team. He dives occasionally and plays a fantastic villain on the ice, but he's got the talent and awareness to be a perennial Norris nominee.

Feels like Boston worked through the yips and are ready to move to the next level. Staying out of the box up north will be critical.

Yup. I would take him on the Bruins in a heartbeat.

I root for the laundry. He is someone who would look incredible in black and gold/

saw earlier posts about chants, i was up in the balcony and only heard three chants all night, "caaareeyy", "Subban/PK sucks"  and "olay olay olay olay, you're gay you're gay" with the last one being kind of questionable and being booed out.
