There was a hit at center ice earlier in the shift that wasn’t remotely interference. What an awful awful call.

Edit - this is for DeBrusk.

I re-watched that shift. DeBrusk never made contact with anyone. A total phantom call.
When Detroit was breaking out of the zone he hit someone that had just passed the puck. Horrific call. Tim Peel’s retirement can’t come soon enough.

This is the kind of shit that I fear again in the playoffs. Ill-timed referee bullshit swinging games for no reason.

Coyle gets buried out front without the puck and no call.

I wouldn't worry about tonight's game all that much. Career game by Mantha and Bruins showed good resilience in the 2nd period.

This and the Acciari instigator... Tim Peel at his finest, it's a shame he's not one of the crew retiring.

Silver lining tonight is yet another great look for Haggerty and his #tuukkasfault hashtag... citing lots of blown coverages and poor defensive lapses tonight, but yesterday's loss was all Tuukka being off his angle for the shortie.

He's signed through next year. I can't really complain about the goaltending situation - 12.2% of the cap spent (likely less %-wise next year) on the 3rd-4th best goaltending tandem in the league by GAA/sv%.

Halak is a big step up from the Niklas Svedberg / Chad Johnsons of years past

I just learned from this that the “Tim Peel is retiring” story was false.

Time for tequila.
