Ottawa deserves it and the Bs don't. Sucks to say it, but it's true. At least it's Ottawa and not some d-bag team.

Ottawa deserves it. What a ridiculous run they went on. I think they've lost once in regulation in like the last month. At least it feels like that.

What is the Vegas line on the OTT/PHI game?  OTT is going to be them by at least 5.

What are the chances  PIT doesn't get 2 pts in the next two games?  Pretty pathetic we may need BUF to beat PIT in order to play meaningful hockey Sat night.

Wrong, an Ottawa loss in regulation and a Bruin win gets the Bruins in still, AFAIK.

Bruins have the tiebreak, need to win and have Ottawa lose. Can't catch the Wings now.

No, need to win and have Ottawa lose in regulation on Saturday.

Hats off to the Sens. Balls to the wall .900 hockey for like 35 games. Unreal. As shitty as everything is the Bruins are a 95 point team, the Sens have sprinted to the finish line and haven't let up.

Assuming the Bs fall short, I think I'm pulling for Ottawa to win the Cup. Any reason not to?

I seriously hope they roll the entire damn conference in the playoffs.

It would be pretty funny for Ottawa to come all this way and then blow it on the last game of the season.

Right?

In 1994 the Bruins were a 4 seed with 97 points and played 2 extra games.  In 98 and 99 the Bruins had 91 points and were a 5 and 6 seed respectively.  In 2002 the Bruins had 101 points and led the Eastern Conference!

This year 95/96/97 points probably leaves the B's in 9th.  No need for Jacobs to overreact to a 1 year anomaly.  Chalk it up to one of those years where the breaks didn't happen.

I can't think of one Ferm.  They are a fun team to watch.  I like Tampa Bay, too.
Yeah, Tampa is a good choice, too. Would be nice to see a Canadian team that is not Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal win, though.

Right?
And see the Bs lose a shootout to Tampa. That would be so fitting.

I actually agree with you but 3 point games kind of skews this

Or the Pens losing out, especially to Buffalo on Saturday.  Sadly it will be a minor miracle if that TB game on Saturday has any meaning.

It would be a classic Playmakers moment for the B's to watch the Sens tank in the afternoon only to lose the nightcap in heartbreaking fashion.

If the B's get one more point, and still miss the playoffs, they will the be the team with the most points in NHL history to not make the playoffs.

I assumed Stripes was just trying to validate his chicken little attitude from last month. Believe me, my response had nothing to do with you.

Call it chicken little all you guys want, but it was most likely true. All I said was with the way Ottawa was playing they deserved a playoff spot. And they continued playing that way from that point on. They lost once in regulation. So yea, that's very chicken little I guess.

Apparently Kenney can't admit he was wrong, but what I said was true. Ottawa deserved and still deserves to get in. Instead he just trolls the comment for the next month like a tool until now when I was proven correct.

What you said was NOT true- it was fucking stupid at the time and it has worked itself out after 2 or 3 weeks. Ottawa did not deserve to get in 3 weeks ago but if they win on Saturday then they do.

And don't start with the "I was proven right" bullshit. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. You've been screechy for years now, so the one time you're right about doom and gloom doesn't make you a prognosticator.

Edit: Maybe I'm just pissy because Kenney is one of the handful of posters that really knows and understands the game, so anyone acting like he's an idiot is way off base.

Yeah what Dummy said. It was proven right but it was far from right at the time.

The trolling was lighthearted shit giving akin to all the mother fucking (literally, sex with mothers) that goes on here. Thought after all these years you could take it. Pretty sure I even explicitly mentioned I was giving you shit. Oh well.

This is like the crazy guy who wanders around with the "The End is Nigh" signs rejoicing as the meteor that will wipe all life off the Earth looms large in the daytime sky.  The near infinite number of times you were wrong are not canceled out by the one time you were right.  And touting your wrong rightness as we all face death is, frankly, a bit unseemly.

You seriously have such a dickish way about yourself. Claiming you are so high and mighty and know the game so much more than someone else or this guy knows the game and this one doesn't. I don't deny at all that you know the game, because you do, but you can be such a condescending little twat about it. Don't talk down to people so often.

Kenney you're right, and I apologize. The Bruins have put me in a very grumpy mood. I shouldn't have taken it so personally. And I fully agree to you that are saying I'm a doomsdayer with the Bruins, I suppose I can't help it. My father was this way too, so I guess that's where I get it.
