Apple& Qualcomm reach settlement. With Apple signing 6yr licensing agreement

The jury for this trial was just selected earlier this week and just a few min ago they announced a settlement. Apple will sign a 6 year agreement with Qualcomm for it’s technologies.

Big result for this is that apple can now use Qualcomm’s 5G chips, which intel was struggling to make and was the rumored cause for a delayed 5G iPhone

The rumor I heard the other day was as a result of the settlement, Intel is shuttering their modem business entirely & immediately, which they bought from Infineon for $1.4B back in 2010, to get into the LTE chipset business to begin with.
