    A thought dons on me.

In our previous 3 trips to the World Series, we had absolutely BRUTAL ALCS to contend with that all went the distance.

This one felt just as bad and only went 5. This was our easiest ALCS in like 40 years, hahahaha.

I'd like to remind everyone the Red Sox only won this series because of that fan interference call.

Going 7 - 2 against a 100 win Yankee team and a 103 Astros team is amazing. To get to the World Series against those two teams without Sale being at the top of his game is even more spectacular. On to the World Series.

The ALDS was pretty brutal this year. They cruised in DS in the last 3 World Series runs.

Of course I'm not forgetting anything he's done. He's been OK. I wouldn't have envisioned them doing what they've been doing with him only going 8-for-34 with 3 XBH and 3 RBI in the postseason. That's all.

It was a brutal ALCS in 2013, but they won it in 6, right?

2013 ALCS didn't go the distance. So we have found out what Kate Upton has known for some time, Justin Verlander lacks endurance.

I've heard AJ Hinch speak a couple of times over the last week or so and that dude is a class act. He is very well spoken and is clearly a sharp guy. If I was an Astros fan I'd be really happy with him running their ship for a long time.

His answer about the interference call was magnanimous as fuck. Huge respect for him after this series.

I agree. Unlike over rated clown shoes like Sciocia, and Matheny, Hinch is a class act. No shame in being led by him.

Did I ever love the Astros faces over the last two days as they realized “oh, you don’t just get waved through for being the defending champs.”

Like anywhere else their success will depend on if ownership wants to pay the talent.

Just had to stop and remember that Hanley Ramirez was pretty decent in April, and I don't think anyone has a clue where that man is right now.

And I'm also curious....does Dustin travel with the team?

What I've loved about this postseason is how almost everyone on the roster has risen to the occasion at one point to make a critical play. Yes, there are the MVP candidates; but 1-9 it has been a complete team effort. Tonight it was Devers and Price, in the past it has been JBJ, Vazquez, Pearce, Holt; even a maligned guy like Kinsler delivered two multi-hit performances to eliminate NYY and Houston.

The biggest difference for me since the start of the playoffs has been the increase in confidence I have in the bullpen. Barnes, Brassier, and Kelly have been very good and the use of the starters out of the pen has been sublime. Eovaldi is a champ; that 102 MPH heater to put away Springer was one of the most savage pitches I have ever seen.

The dude got outs tonight when many people - and I wouldn't be surprised if that included a few players in his own dugout - doubted him. The Price redemption story was tonight's headline but Kimbrel getting through the ninth with minimal drama was pretty damn great as well.
