The only team playing worse than the Yankees is the Mariners. And the only thing the M's have done well lately is hit each other.

So how about a few wins, fellas? Too much to ask?

    Didi is officially back, Y A Y.

NY was 9-7 with him out, and if he is not their most valuable player (he might be), he is in the top 2 with Judge. Welcome back, sir, sorry it's against Paxton.

Maybe because of Paxton, also he couldn’t play rehab games since the minor league seasons are mostly over and NY is on the west coast, so maybe he comes in midway tonight.

"Boone said that he wants to ease Didi Gregorius back in. The hope is to get him into tonight’s game, then start him tomorrow, but not play the whole game."

Now I wish I still lived in Seattle and paid overpriced tickets to go.

Judge swinging the bat, even against underhand pitching, makes me happy in my pants.

He has been brutal for at least two weeks.

Missed this one but Tanaka sure is an enigmatic pitcher capable of greatness one night and mediocrity five days later.

Two hits for Voit tonight. Do they even need Bird on the postseason roster? Hechevarria has to stick for his defense alone.

This might be a good time to note that the Yankees seem to be in pretty good shape at second base for the next few years. The whole Cano leaving thing worked out well.

Yanks win, 4-0. Shiner may have moved but he still owns Seattle.

Tanaka has paced himself every season since coming to NYC in different ways, this was the guy we saw last postseason.

That Hech/Didi/Gleyber defensive trio has to be the best NY has ever had there, I said that before but tonight we got our first taste. Hechevarria looked better diving full out for a liner and missing than Andujar has looked at his best, Didi made an insane barehand play if Voit had picked it, and Gleyber plays so deep in the shift and covers so much ground in every direction.

Good comeback game behind the plate for Sanchez too. He is still mostly a mess at the plate with the occasional very hard-hit ball, I wonder if losing weight costs him any power.
