Freakin Luke Voit!
I seriously don't think he's even the worst one this week, the 28 year old kid who Boone went nuts on was ridiculous.
Never realized Cutch has the same waist size as Edwar.
Cashman got a few decent years from Shreve and turned that into Voit.
All for the low low price of Manny Banuelos
I missed that game due to babysitting my nephews.
But this ump is getting railed on by both sides, and I actually agree with both teams .
Not to mention losing track of the count
How much did he pay for Rodney?
Rodney is a real roll of the dice. Glad the Sox didn't get him.
So Britton then Betances, I like it.
Hechavarria is pretty clearly going to be the late inning replacement at 3B once Didi is back, those two and Gleyber will certainly be the best defensive 2B/SS/3B combo in team history. I wanted to see Urshela in that role but evidently they like Hechavarria even more.
Playing Nakamura's theme music
Hechavarria! Usually he only hits them against NY.
Hey Abbey, I thought you said he couldn't hit
This 3 headed bullpen monster of Oakland's isn't doing much for me.
I have wanted him for a long time, I wanted NY to sign him to groom as Jeter's replacement as a IFA. He is an impressive athlete, I always am partial to those guys.
Whoa, how hard was that Sanchez shot? That would have looked good from Nadal tonight.
Kay just said Sterling didn't even have a call ready for him.
I even kind of like Luke Voit when he strikes out.
That was one of the best pitch stops I've ever seen.
Heh, then the next one short hops him and he can't keep it close enough.
5-1, do they still use Betances? Maybe Holder? They do have an off day Thursday, so probably still Betances.
I slept thru the middle 7 innings. Less stressful that way.
They had no hits for the first six innings and then twelve baserunners in the last three, four each inning.
This is becoming a pattern. But you have to give Yanks credit for hanging in there. Happ must have been great. They needed a shutdown start.
so did the Yankees
Clint Frazier done for the year, poor guy. I hope he's OK for next March:
"Clint Frazier saw a neurologist in Pittsburgh this week, Aaron Boone reported. He started having more symptoms associated with the concussion he sustained in spring training just as he was going to be moved to Double-A. He will not be an option rest of the year for the Yanks."
