Nice hustle, Hicks.
I dont see Lance McCullers or Charlie Morton out there.
I think JD heard you.
I dunno, Eck. I think being at 3rd with one out is sorta a big deal, tying run or not.
JD does the hustle
do do do do do do do do do
I'd say PH Mookie for Nunez but they'll just walk him... would really like a single by X here to force hte Yanks' hand
What a pathetic at bat by Xander.
Hey, if we can get the Eovaldi that showed up tonight, and good Kimbrel in the playoffs. Maybe a few good innings from Wright. With a rotation of Sale, Price, Porcello/ERoD (depending on how the schedule works out, I don't know if you even need four starters in every series with the days off), it could be better than the shitstorm of relievers we've seen trot in from the pen all year long.
swing at strikes X..come on
Runner at 3rd, less than two outs, FAIL
Except when Xander pops it up. Yuck.
How many pop ups can these guys hit with risp?
and all of that ruined on one swing.
can't really win with 1 run, whatever
Great AB. Fucking why?
Situational hitting and baserunning...
So many awful ABs tonight
Where is Devers when he's needed.
A passed ball here
As hot as Xander has been lately The only hit tonight is with nobody on. 2 big failures with RISP.
I’m in, and hopefully, Eovaldi holds up.
Nunez missed his cookie. Big hanger there.
This was the time to atone for the bad read X , but nope
Why not Devers instead o Nunez?
Another squander coming....
Guys are taking massive cuts. Maybe try the Brad Stevens approach...hit some singles.
Damn, would that have reached the Monster in Fenway?
What is that the 3rd squander tonight.
That's on X. Fucking horrible AB.
Thought he had it. Maybe gone at Fenway?
I’d say that decision doesn’t bode well for him.
The bullpen sucked, but the offense has come up small tonight
Outside of the lefty righty matchup I don't see any obvious advantage. Devers can hit it a mile on occasion but only every blue moon unfortunately.
1-8 RISP, the one didn't score a run. I think 4 times they fail to get a sac fly in as well.
That looked inevitable when the lineup came out, but ironically the biggest failures have been from the guys you would want up in key situations.
this is some recency bias, but I am concerned how they play here. on the verge of being 2-5 this season and not much better last season.
Everybody shaking Vaz off. All night.
If we can keep it close we have a chance if Britton is closing it out
How the fuck did Stanton miss that pitch?
Pearce out of the game?
Is this a white flag with Cuevas in?
