Second verse same as the first, and pictures of Henry VIII in the Number thread.
Dear Red Sox,
I do not want to have to start tomorrow's game thread.
Get this shit done.
You know, a hundred wins for this team isn’t out of the question ...
Is tonight getting played?
I hope so because I’m driving 3 hours to get there.
Plan for four.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Interesting discussion by Cora last night about sending Mitch to the on deck circle and then calling him back for Brock. On tv, they seemed to think it had to do with the fact that Brock had good numbers against Tepera. That wasn't it though. Cora explained that it was just a fuck up.
The match up that Cora was anticipating and playing for was to have Brandon Phillips batting against Mayza. Cora wanted to put a lefty up against Tepera, because he assumed that Gibbons would counter with Mayza and then Cora would counter again with Phillips. The fuck up was that he forgot that he had just lifted Pearce for the pinch running Lin, so he couldn't send Moreland in to be announced and then pull him for Phillips because then he would be without a first baseman.
So, he called Mitch back and sent Brock up, expecting Mayza. Gibbons must have liked the matchup better than Mayza against Phillips obviously because he left Tepera in there to pitch against Brock. I bet if Moreland had gone up, there's no way that Gibbons would have left Tepera in the game so it totally worked out.

^ Man, I thought it was an injury situation. lol
Where are you coming from, bud? How are the roads?
While aware of the reverse lock potential, that pitching matchup really has me jonesing to see this attempt at 100 tonight.
I hope everyone watches tonight--the Red Sox have a chance at 100 wins.
We have anyone on this board alive 72 years ago? I doubt it.
I don't understand the part about not having a first baseman. Didn't Holt, not Moreland, go in to play first base?
Plus Sam Travis is with them, too. The impression I got from what I read about what Cora said was more that they didn't want to waste Mitch by putting him in and pulling him right away when they could still use him to hit for someone else later if the Holt and maybe Phillips if they brought in the lefty thing didn't work.
Oh, yeah, that's true I guess. So, I'm not really sure what Cora meant exactly about it being a screw up that he was burning Mitch. He said the game "sped up" on him and that he got teased by the guys in the dugout for screwing it up, but I guess it must just have been that he might have wanted Mitch for later if they brought in a righty later or something.
As noted, Holt played 1st anyway.
I was surprised Gibbons didn't go with the lefty. Funny, though, I was thinking that's how it would play out, and I couldn't come up with another RHH -- "there's no way he's setting this up for Sam Travis to face the lefty."
Alive, yes, though I didn't see my first Red Sox game until 1956.
100 wins isn't out of the question.
Maybe he just meant that he really was going to burn Mitch, and that it would have been a screw up when he had a lesser LHH to burn. Obviously the lesser LHH he was more willing to burn has turned into a SuperPHingBrockStar.
Let's do this, boys! I want to reel off one more good win streak, so that I can tease my future children by telling them they've never seen a team as good as the one I remember from 2018...
Oh no! These Red Sox are just like 1978! Oh no!
Turns out, everyone saying that was right. They both have 99 wins.
And Cora has the same capacities of The Gerbil, while our premier lefty engaged with the manager in big discussions.
It would be fitting for the oft-maligned David Price to be the man on the mound for this team’s 100th victory. Go get it done, big guy.
So the sarcasm schtick lives for another gamethread, or can it be buried like bad Kimchi?
Eck is in the booth! Time to party!
Then here's to you.
Price has these ridiculously good career numbers against the Blue Jays. Keep it up and grab the 100 brass ring.
Stay sharp Mister P
Not me, but I believe there’s more than a few members.
Price looks dominant.
Nicely done fellas.
my father was 18
what a great year for music
Kevin Pillar doesn't cut that off.
Is anyone ever experienced issues with NESN Go player not showing up on a laptop? It works on my phone and also my wife's laptop. But, I go to NESNGo on my computer and the tabs show up for NESN and NESN Plus but no video player shows up.
Maybe today they can get a big lead in the first 3 innings.
The fuck are you swinging at JD?
Houston-like squander 2/3rds complete.
Way out of the strike zone JD!
Damn, stranderama already.
A waste for sure
What is my good friend W B Mason thinking of?
I wouldn't buy from him if the Yankees were worthwhile.
Nope, even Mookie on second with no one out and Beni-JD-X coming up yields bupkis because it isn’t the 7th inning yet. So it is written.
Ok, that was a baller catch.
We forget that JD strikes out a lot, in the top 20 in baseball probably.
Edit, number 20 in the AL.
So where is Vlad jr?
Price mowing pricks down in a hurry and early on.
Price looking good, knock on wood,
