Voit and Higgy are fill-ins but you are right. Third base is a big problem. Torres has 15 errors in 95 games at second and short. Bird was only average at first base. Sanchez is returning soon to haunt my dreams.
On the bright side, the original outfield was pretty good.

They need Didi, he is much better than Gleyber at SS and Gleyber is much much better than anyone else at 2B, those two can cover a lot between them. Didi is eligible to come back Thursday, fingers crossed.

He is supposedly 10-15 pounds lighter this time around, but maybe you enjoyed seeing the Orioles run wild on Romine a few days ago.

Maybe I enjoy the fact that Sanchez finally got in shape for the stretch run. You think that's a good thing, carrying 10 extra pounds around, as a catcher whose main weakness is his lack of flexibility?

It obviously was slowing him down. I called him out on a few times in game threads that he basically looked out of shape and slower at the plate and behind it. Who knows if this is the equivalent of coming to spring training in shape or if its a real difference maker for him. Either way, he's had so much time off that his struggles earlier in the year may be far enough disconnected from the next time we see him so as not to have an impact.
