The Abreu-less other Sox come to town. Rodon is throwing extremely well and Tanaka has been homer happy. Let's keep this close, get to the bullpen, and pull within 5.5 games of first.

The division is no longer out of reach. Let's do this!

You can’t show modesty when you’re playing the White Sox.

White Sox are 9-3 in their last 12, admittedly all against MIN/DET/KC, but still.

Sanchez is playing his first AAA rehab game tonight, he went deep on the first pitch he saw.

Great pitching by Tanaka and a little lucky in Moncada's two-out smash up the middle.

Sox have 4 “hits” so far, two are balls right to Andujar that he couldn’t turn into outs. I love the kid but he is not a ML 3B.

Coup, I am getting a Moose Skowron vibe from Voit, the way he twirls the bat while waiting for the pitch. Didn't Moose do that?

If he homers into the right field seats, nthen I will know for sure. But he flies to right instead.

Insanely stupid swing by Higgy. It's hilarious who we have up at bat covering for DLed guys.

In 1998, the Yankees had depth. Their bench was Posada, Strawberry, Raines and Homer Bush.

They will get some quality arms for the back of the pen on 9/1, Loaisiga and Sheffield and German all seem on track.

Happ has been awesome but such bad timing on dealing McKinney. Literally hours later Judge goes down and Bird loses the ability to hit plus Frazier still out, meanwhile McKinney is crushing hitting leadoff for TOR.

Still the right move but if Judge goes down a day earlier, Cashman could have included an equivalent pitching prospect, Adams maybe. Ah well.

So many similarities to A-Rod, I actually dug up the quotes on A-Rod pressing at 499 and 599 for nyyfans (sorry) yesterday. Among other things, both as good a power hitter as there is and also both good overall hitters, but somehow they have stretches where they look like Shane Robinson's worse identical twin.
