Liverpool Arsenal is the obvious match of the weekend, but ManU/Leicester should be a lot of fun and maybe Chelsea/Everton.

What's clear is that in the early season, almost anything can happen with teams not fully into their groove yet. Bournemouth appears likely they're going to pull out a draw vs City with a screaming goal by Charlie Daniels 12 minutes into the game.

Surprised that Dean gave the Mousset foul prior to the buildup to the Sterling goal, Bournemouth would have been in 2-on-1.

LOL Sterling sent off for his celebration

Even with some Bournemouth time wasting, there had been zero second half goals, and a few quickly given cards. 4-5 minutes would have been about right. Dean walked over at the start of stoppage time to break up some bickering between Howe and Guardiola, and the corner kick restart with 5' added on took place at around 91'.

There were ~1.5 minutes of injury between Afobe and Arter (I believe?), and some other assorted time wasting. It could be argued that play should not have even gotten to 7' added, but if you take the 5' added beginning at 91', and the other stuff, I don't think that's the case - play was rightly ongoing at that point. After Sterling's celebration, there should have been ~1' remaining by my count, which is what ended up being the case.

Mike Dean is awful in general but I thought he acquitted himself well today overall

Swansea gets their first shot on target all season. Of course it goes in. Palace look lifeless and the natives are getting restless.

Mike Dean is indeed awful. I thought Bournemouth was fouled running the other way right before the goal and it wasn't called.. Dean let stoppage time get completely out of hand for both teams.

Palace has gone back to the back four, not sure if de Boer did this out of frustration or necessity (given an injury to Tomkins). They are finally getting opportunities but can't even take a decent shot.

hope you got your bets in on Bilic. Skysports reporting that his position is under review and a decision will be made in the next few days. Also that West Ham are considering activating Rafa's release clause at Newcastle.

As you know I am a Toffees fanboy but I have a hard time seeing how they get points here. Roster depleted and they look gassed already.

Toffees have little of the ball and when they do have it there is zero buildup

The Siggy-Rooney-Sandro front 3 for Everton is so freaking slow. I wasn't expecting much from Everton, but I wasn't expecting it to be this easy for Chelsea.

DCL coming on for Sandro who has been awful

Basic came on at half for Davies who was also terrible- did zero and gave ball away

Liverpool team to face Arsenal:
Karius, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mané, Firmino
Subs: Ward, Klavan, Alexander-Arnold, Grujić, Milner, Solanke, Sturridge

Arsenal's XI (3-4-3)
Čech, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Özil, Alexis, Welbeck
Subs: Ospina, Mustafi, Kolašinac, Coquelin, Walcott, Lacazette, Giroud

Other than Mignolet, the other big surprise is no Lacazette.

Also, never has this been more true than today

Bobby Wood scored for Hamburg, but if you get a chance and the video is out there, when Koln scored in injury time (13 minutes worth of it) the defender for Hamburger had the worse dive you have ever seen.

It was so bad they went to video review and then issued him a yellow card.

Arsenal looks like a team that doesn't believe in itself or its manager. A bunch of individuals, half of whom want out, because nobody in their right mind could believe in Wenger's project at this point.

California. Duh.
Moreno nearly pulled a Moreno a couple minutes ago. Got beat them nearly conceded a penalty with a wild challenge trying to make up for it.

Gary Neville on Sky TV is a fucking hoot. He's really laying into this Arsenal team. It hurts him to the core when players don't put a shift in for the team.

I look forward to arsene experimenting with a lineup where he plays his best players in their natural positions all at the same time. Xhaka and Ramsey in the middle isn't the answer.
