Playoff Races:

Greenville - It's complicated. They are 11 1/2 GB of Savannah for the second half crown. As long as it is Savannah they are behind, however, it is good, as Savannah WON the first half. So... the team with the second best OVERALL record in the division will gain a playoff spot. The Drive are 1 1/2 games back of Asheville for that spot.

Lowell is 3 1/2 GB of Tri-Valley for Stedler Division Crown. Lowell is 2 1/2 GB of State College for Wild-Card.

GCL Red Sox are in the Playoffs.

DSL Red Sox2 are in the Playoffs.

Including his 5/9 performance in the DSL playoffs, 17 year old centerfielder Lorenzo Cedrola put up a .328/.442/.420 line with 27 steals in 34 attempts and a 33/25 K/BB ratio.  Not much power there, and his OBP was padded by an astounding 23 HBPs (no one else on the team had more than 8), but still, that's an impressive performance for a 17 year old.

Power isn't much in evidence historically in the GCL. It's a really good line, hopefully he can keep it up when he transitions stateside next season.
