Ugggggg. Looked severe?
Nunie is alive!
nice IBB of Holt Terry.
three two-run doubles this inning.
BB, 2B. IBB, 2B, IBB, 2B.
The intentional walk of Brock Holt. Rarely seen in the American League.
How about another IBB?
As someone who was in the Vazquez camp, gotta admit that I now understand Christian's extraordinarily angry reaction to his recent injury. He knew that the pitchers were doing so awesome, it didn't really depend upon the catcher. Looks like Swihart got good timing along with a seemingly good wave to ride. All else being equal, Swihart's versatility has won me over.
Moar plz thx
I was made to believe he brought his team in here to punch the Sox in the mouth and reveal himself again as the god of managing, so I'm going to go ahead and reiterate that he really dropped the ball here.
walking JD did not work out for Francoma
Ow! Take it easy guys, hands hurt from the applauding.
Two Bags for everyone in honor of Mitchy.
He stayed in and got a hit, then came out.
This is like an ultra version of station to station where every at bat starts with new runners at second and third.
This sweep is troublesome
Yeah, Francona overmanaged this pretty brutally.
I'd have let my ROOGY starter face JDM, triple crown contender or no.
Cimber reduced to cinders.
Not really. Probably sore and mighta gashed his shin or something.
I was *just* about to say that while Hand is the real deal, Cimber is the kind of funky-delivery-but-mediocre-stuff reliever that it may take a couple of sightings to figure out.
Oliver Perez is still alive?? (I do know he's actually been great)
What is incredible is that he is still only 37 years old
With the caveat that we're only up six in the fifth in a hitters park against a very good team, splitting four with Cleveland was always the most likely outcome. These are well-matched teams.
left knee contusion, probably just bruised it up and it got really stiff by the bottom of the inning.
Thanks, good news I believe.
Crooked numbers that happen fast are VERY welcome developments!
Wow, Tito never seemed to call for intentional walks so much when he was here. Good thing, because I hate the IBB most times and it sure hasn't helped him in this series.
no second miracle for Leon this inning
Yes. Especially with them pitching their ace and us not pitching ours
Oh, you're talking narratives. Well they executed their plan pretty well for two days but you can only get by on pitching all RHPs and shifting on the lefties for so long. The Sox torched those dumb shifts yesterday.
Cimber feels like a relic from the 70s. Cleveland can take their two wins and go home now.
Go oppo JBJ
Could be tetanus. Mitchy Lockjaw.
Just try to make contact
Since the game is only 1/2 over I doubt they'll fold that easily. (Well 5 out of 9)
Tito has been toying with JBJ all series, bringing in lefties to face him in every spot.
This would be a great ALCS matchup, if it were to happen.
Well, Bradley's OPS crested at .700 after his single, but then fell a bit below after the K.
In retrospect, this complete Sox implosion was entirely predictable. Their hitting was always suspect, built on a few short hot streaks, their pitching is in shambles, their manager is a rookie who gets outsmarted by more seasoned hands and the front office cannot seem to win a single trade.
Yes, they will make the playoffs but they may not win one game versus other playoff juggernauts like the Indians or Yankees.
That Kingston guy looks like a jamoke.
Blake the.... competent? .... 1B
OK - That was fortunate
I hope they keep Swihart when they trade off most of the team. I like the versatility.
As Billy Packer never used to say about white players: "he's an ath-a-lete."
He's 6-14 this series. That's unsuccessful toying
You see a team like the Yankees the other night fight through adversity to win a tough extra innings game on the road* despite multiple men on 3rd with nobody out scenarios and it just makes you wonder where that fight is in this team.
*Can't remember who this was against but I know in my heart it was one of the more impressive wins you'll ever see.
No worries. He'll be the Face of the Rebuild.
but her e-mails
Price looks fantastic.
