Toronto comes to town, hopefully they will leave us Granderson (who has cleared waivers) while we wait for Judge or Frazier or both to come back.

It's very hot and humid and some scattered thunderstorms lurking around, August baseball.

    Stroman vs. Lynn, 7 PM.

Love Granderson. Huge upgrade over Shane Robinson!

I wanted him two weeks ago, some odd decisions (or non-decisions) by Cashman in the last few weeks.

I agree. He has not helped Boone at all. But since his plan is all about 2019, as you have noted on many occasions, maybe Cashman is just sticking to his guns.
Seriously, Jon. Do you think the 2018 Yankees are still serious contenders or are they just someone you don't want to play? One and done in the WC playoff seems a likely outcome at this point in time.

Let’s see what the roster looks like then, they managed to knock out the best team in baseball in the ALDS last year. Kahnle looking good yesterday is a start.

Yes. They need to add healthy players, one at a time, and hope they are effective. It's not easy, regaining form after being inactive for a month or two. That is part of Gleyber's problem right now.

Here's a nice Katie Sharp stat:

Yankee Rookies with 35+ Doubles and 19+ HR:

    Miguel Andujar (2018)
    Joe DiMaggio (1936)

The ump seems to have put in his contact lenses after the first inning.

Official game. At least this one is interesting and there’s some offense.

    Game called. Yankees win.
I heard John Gibbons on Suyzn's pre game show, describing how the Blue Jays arrived from KC at 6 on Friday morning. They had a long rain delay during Thursday's game. Gibbons guessed the lack of sleep would hit his team during the Saturday matinee.

I'll take it, good comeback win after going down 4-0 in the top of the 1st.

I was behind on the game when I saw this post and first I thought 'Chris Paul' but of course he is not at the game, then I thought you meant Paul O'Neill when they showed him in the booth and I thought 'huh, he looks relatively good to me'. Then they showed Paul Simon and I got it, he does seem to come to a lot of games...
