OMG. I can't believe they didn't at least tie it there!
Kolarek = nails
TB broadcast says first series win for them at NY since 2014.
When the bases were loaded, no outs, I went to pick blackberries. Imagine my surprise. Geewhilikers!
What you mean we kemosabe? (Rays - Yankees game).
Yep, 12 in a row before this and only the third home series NY has lost all season.
One nice thing is that Kahnle looks like he might be back to himself, he hit 98 a few times that inning. That might mean a phantom DL stint for Cole before rosters expand, hopefully Kahnle is back to stay.
the Yanks caught our bases loaded bug from last year. weird for such a high HR team, but...
On to Fenway
This AL East thing is BS.
They are really missing Judge. Also, some of the others on the team aren't so great.
There is no guarantee Judge will remain healthy after he returns next month. Every checked swing will be worrisome.
Someone want to start a thread for tonight? I can do so later if no one else does, but I don't think it's my turn yet.
I'd be terrified every time he swings if I were a Yanks fan. Wrists, man. It really is something how much his presence is missed - and I'd argue Sanchez' as well. Even though he's had his documented issues and his overall batting line was not so good, the threat he represented, along with Judge and Stanton within a 3 or 4 batter span, really was something. It made the line up so much more treacherous for a pitcher to navigate.
Very true. And I think it's a legit worry. The Yankee team we saw in April, May and June may not resurface this season. Or they could miraculously get Judge and Sanchez healthy in September. Healthy and hitting. Not sure why Sanchez would improve on what we have seen in 2018. His plate discipline went away as pitchers adjusted and stopped throwing him strikes. Judge has the wrist to worry about.
It's time to realize the pennant race is about Boston, Houston, Oakland and maybe the Yankees.
Crow or Shiner?
