Perez has zilch history with us and has been mediocre at best since returning from the DL, CC...who the hell knows, would anything from domination to a short and ineffective outing really surprise anyone ?

    1. Aaron Hicks (S) CF
    2. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH
    3. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B
    4. Didi Gregorius (L) SS
    5. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
    6. Luke Voit (R) 1B
    7. Neil Walker (S) RF
    8. Austin Romine (R) C
    9. Brett Gardner (L) LF

The lineup is probably as good as we could do and Gardner at 9 is not a bad idea under the circumstances

Need a win today with deGrom going tomorrow, season series is at 3-3 so it would be nice to end it with a win.

Romine shows decent speed for infield single and Brett doubles down RF line to start 5th

7-2, Voit's max stretch at 1st leads to debate if foot stayed on the base

A bit of bad luck for Sonny but 5 hits allowed in an inning-plus ain’t good.

Holder pumped it up to 95 on that last one, Sonny owes him a nice dinner.

I didn’t want to say anything until the series was over, but good job collectively keeping Gallo in the yard the whole series, he had 5 HRs in the previous 7 games and pulls everything out to right.
